The Broadway Experience returned for a fourth summer at The Manhattan Movement & Arts Center from July 25th - August 7th. With over 60 classes, workshops, lectures, and a performance based second week, TBE had some very special guest speakers this year, Chita Rivera and Bebe Neuwirth. Both spoke about their lives, careers, experience, and took the time to answer questions and offer advise and inspiration.

92nd Street Y has announced that Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, will continue his popular multi-evening 92nd Street Y conversation series, 'Broadway Talks with Jordan Roth' with Golden Globe Award-winning stage and screen star Angela Bassett. Roth and Bassett will discuss her upcoming role opposite Samuel L. 2011 Emmy Nomination Submissions Revealed!

The nominations were released earlier this month for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards. Mad Men topped the list with 19 nominations, followed by Boardwalk Empire with 18, Modern Family with 17, Saturday Night Live with 16, Game of Thrones and 30 Rock with 13 and GLEE with 12. British playwright Joe Orton's classic dark comedy ENTERTAINING MR. SLOANE, hits Los Angeles this June for a four week run at the Actors Company theater. The play, which originally debuted in London in 1964, tells a sexy, suspenseful, and often humorous story that continues to captivate and surprise audiences today. Brian Dennehy to Join Nathan Lane in Goodman Theatre's ICEMAN COMETH; Opens 4/22

Goodman Theatre Artistic Director RoRobert Falls announced today that he will direct bert Falls The Iceman Cometh, Eugene O'Neill's epic portrait of hope and disillusionment, running April 22 - June 10, 2012 in the Albert Theatre. Falls' major revival features Tony Award-winning stage and screen stars Nathan Lane Nathan Lane as hardware salesman and pipe dreambuster Theodore 'Hickey' Hickman, and Brian Dennehy Brian Dennehy as one-time syndicalist-anarchist Larry Slade. Hailed by The New York Times as a 'ferocious American classic that has lost none of its power,' The Iceman Cometh marked Falls' and Dennehy's first O'Neill collaboration at the Goodman in 1990-a production which featured Dennehy in the role of Hickey.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Nathan Lane will star in the Goodman Theatre production of Eugene O'Neill's 'The Iceman Cometh.' The show will be directed by Robert Falls and will run in Spring 2012. Falls commented: 'Nathan had approached me about wanting to work on an O'Neill play and I have finally been able to put together this project I have been working on for three years. I think this is the greatest American play.'

BroadwayWorld.com shared the sad news last night, July 12th that Tony Stevens, performer, director and choreographer had passed away at 63. We just received a statement from Chita Rivera on his passing which reads that'A huge part of me has left...gone to light the heavens for us as he did on earth. I carry Tony with me. I always have and always will. My god how I will miss him.'
