It's a hard life being an understudy. It's even harder when you're the understudy to a much-loved Olivier-winning star whose name is selling the whole show. That's the situation for Natasha J Barnes, Sheridan Smith's understudy as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl.

In celebration of the hugely successful and critically acclaimed London run of Green Day's explosive, Tony Award® winning Broadway musical American Idiot, which must end on 22 November 2015 at the Arts Theatre, Leicester Square, a special 'Rock-A-Long' performance will be held for one night only on 12 November 2015.

Following on from its hugely successful opening in July and due to popular demand, the critically acclaimed production of Green Day's explosive award-winning Broadway musical American Idiot will be extending its run at The Arts Theatre, Leicester Square and is now booking until 22 November 2015.

London's first full run of the Green Day musical, American Idiot, opened last night.

Green Day's explosive award-winning Broadway musical American Idiot opened in the UK on 17 July at The Arts Theatre, Leicester Square. The full cast are Luke Baker (Theo), Natasha Barnes (Heather), Alexis Gerred (Tunny), Llandyll Gove (Gerard), Raquel Jones (Extraordinary girl), Natasha Karp (Alysha) Robyn Mellor (Libby), Lucas Rush (St. Jimmy), Steve Rushton (Will), Aaron Sidwell (Johnny) and Ross William Wild (Favorite Boy). They join the previously announced X Factor star, Amelia Lily who is playing Whatsername.

The event was hosted by composer/writer Dave Malloy and included director Rachel Chavkin and members of the original cast. Voting closes on Friday for this year's BWW:UK Awards! The Book Of Mormon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Once all look set to win for the musicals - and Hadley Fraser may pick up a special double award for his performances in a musical and a play.
