York Theatre Company presents Broadway's Marc Kudisch (9 to 5; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and Jeffry Denman (Irving Berlin's White Christmas; Yank! at the York) in the Off-Broadway premiere of a new holiday variety entertainment, The Holiday Guys in Happy Merry Hanu-Mas, under the music direction of Timothy Splain, for a limited two week engagement through December 31, 2012 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Morgan James pays homage to the legendary Nina Simone in her debut album recorded LIVE from Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola. In this collection of songs, James brings Nina Simone's music to life.

Singer and songwriter Morgan James released her debut album Morgan James Live (Epic Records) on December 4th. Recorded at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, an intimate jazz club nestled within New York City's Time Warner Center, the album features James's stirring renditions of standards from the repertoire of Nina Simone. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) seeks submissions for the 15th Annual TRU VOICES New Plays Reading Series (deadline January 18, 2013 for non-TRU members; January 25, 2013 for TRU members). TheTRU VOICES New Plays Reading Series is a unique series geared towards nurturing the producer-writer relationship, and is particularly interested in finding producers who are looking for opportunities to develop new works. Shows selected will receive staged readings to be presented in June of 2013. Each reading will be followed by a 'Dollars and Sense' panel discussion with prominent New York producers, general managers and artistic directors focusing on potential venues, marketing and budgeting of the work.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation held its second annual Champagne & Caroling Gala last night at Celsius, a restaurant, bar and event space within Citi Pond at Bryant Park (5th Ave and 42nd Street) on Monday, December 10. At this one of a kind urban winter wonderland in of the heart of midtown Manhattan, Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts joined together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy have just announced additional Broadway casting for the world premiere of MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL, based on the life of iconic Motown founder Berry Gordy.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) has announced the four-show line-up for its Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series featuring the music works of legendary Broadway writers Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter, Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse and two by George S. Kaufman. The roster of Broadway musicals include Two by Two (February 15-17, 2013), Hollywood Pinafore (March 1-3, 2013), Happy Hunting (March 15-17, 2013), and Silk Stockings (March 22-24, 2013) at The York Theatre Company at its home in Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Casting will be announced at a later date.
