British TV on DVD specialist Acorn Media starts off 2010 with several highly-entertaining, star-studded DVDs available now for review/feature consideration, including The Evelyn Waugh Collection with Kristin Scott Thomas in her breakthrough role and Judi Dench in a BAFTA-winning role. DVD debuts of G.B.H., an award-winning British political miniseries starring Michael Palin; Bonekickers, a new BBC action-adventure series from the creators of Life on Mars; Callan, Set 2 featuring the late Edward Woodward in his first major television role; as well as the first 2010 release for our new Best Documentaries on DVD label Athena, with Military Channel favorite Hitler's Bodyguard, a fascinating 13-part documentary on how Hitler survived more than 40 assassination attempts.

Monty Python will celebrate its Ruby Jubilee later this year on stage, in print and on television in London, Hollywood and in New York. As well as performances of An Evening with Without Monty Python at the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre (23 September - 4 October) and at the Town Hall New York (6 - 10 October), the publication of a new book, Monty Python Live! and a new 6 part documentary series - Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer's Cut) scheduled for transmission on October, London will host, for one night only on Friday 23 October 2009, the European premiere of Eric Idle and John Du Prez's Not The Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall.

The production will run from October 6 - October 18. John O'Hurley ('Seinfeld,' 'Dancing with the Stars') will reprise his role of King Arthur for the musical's final performances.

The Tony and Grammy® Award-winning Monty Python's Spamalot will open the Orange County Performing Arts Center's blockbuster 2009-2010 Broadway Series with a two-week engagement October 6 - 18.

The record breaking National Tour of Monty Python's SPAMALOT, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, will close in Costa Mesa CA on October 18th. The musical's tour will have played 1408 performances over 101 separate engagements throughout North America, to an audience estimated at nearly 3.6 million people.

To commemorate Monty Python's iconic 40th anniversary seems a tad conventional, according to its ensemble member Michael Palin who feels that,'We should have had the 37th anniversary or the 41½ anniversary; 40 seems too predictable for Python," he tells USA Today.

Monty Python member and SPAMALOT creator Eric Idle appeared on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and performed the classic 'Always Look At The Bright Side Of Life' with Late Night house band the Roots.
