Director/actor Michael Hurst, who most recently directed television series Spartacus: War of the Damned for Starz, is returning to action adventure as director of THE VIKING WARS for Cardinal XD; it was announced today by Jeff Goldman, Cardinal XD Chief Content Officer.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the lineup of productions for its 2014/15 Season. The year will include world-premiere plays and musicals that have been developed at the theater, including Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine, a new play written and directed by Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson; and Be More Chill, a musical by Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz, adapted from the novel by Ned Vizzini and directed by Scott Ellis. Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, has announced that the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation has awarded the theater a generous $40,000 grant through the foundation's Building Demand for the Arts program, which launched last year and funds inventive partnerships that create new methods for reaching the public and developing their interest in and access to the performing arts.

Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, on Saturday, January 25, with the opening night on Friday, January 31 at 8pm.
