According to the Daily Mail, SHERLOCK star Andrew Scott might take on Shakespeare in the coming year. Baz Bamigboye writes that he is currently in talks to play Hamlet, directed by Robert Icke at the Almeida Theatre- possibly in late 2016-early 2017.

?Portrait tour concludes at London's Bush Theatre with RADAR Festival dates The UK tour of Racheal Ofori's remarkable Portrait comes to a close this month with 3 dates at The Bush Theatre's RADAR Festival. The show has been thrilling audiences around the country with its blend of wit and insight into black female racial stereotypes '. I love satirical comedy, and this piece satirises modern existence, along with a few cheeky little dance numbers for the audiences entertainment.' said Racheal. At times the show blends poetry seamlessly into the mix  'Portrait toys with issues that are quite provocative, and so I feel that using poetry helps bring these issues to light. Using poetry as a language for some of the characters is a surprise; as stereotypically one wouldn't imagine them to use such language to communicate their ideas.'

But with Olivier's eccentric wife Vivien Leigh added to the volatile mix, legendary egos collide both on stage and off.

The Almeida Theatre announces its new season: Almeida Greeks.

Ian Gelder - Kevan Lannister in the epic TV drama series Game of Thrones - is to play Frankenstein director James Whale and Will Austin is gardener Clayton Boone, who becomes the object of Whale's obsession, in the world premiere of Gods and Monsters at Southwark Playhouse.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company announces an extension of its current production of As You Like It, by William Shakespeare, directed by Michael Attenborough, with Associate Director Alan Paul. As You Like It now plays through December 14, 2014, at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW).

If you are a Shakespeare connoisseur who knows the plays and who thrills at new stagings of familiar material, by all means get thee to the Lansburgh Theatre to see Michael Attenborough's fascinating production of As You Like It. With a rock-solid cast, and a Spartan stage design that throws their great work into high relief, you will be in for a rich experience indeed.

J.B. Priestley's most iconic play is notably An Inspector Calls. However, before this, there was Dangerous Corner, which premiered in 1932 and is currently touring the UK. The play centres on a dinner party being thrown by Freda and Robert Caplan. Along with Caplan's business partners and other guests, one remark regarding Robert's recently deceased brother causes anarchy between them. The play ends as it begins but minus the disclosure of this remark and showing how differently the evening could have panned out.

PRIESTLEY'S classic play DANGEROUS CORNER, starring Robin of Sherwood's MICHAEL PRAED and Dalzeil and Pascoe's COLIN BUCHANAN will be at Birmingham Repertory Theatre for one week only this November. Directed by the former head of London's acclaimed Almeida Theatre, MICHAEL ATTENBOROUGH, DANGEROUS CORNER opens at The REP from 3 - 8 November.
