CMT is heating up the summer with a variety of music-related programming, including new episodes of the hit series CMT CROSSROADS and all-new episodes of CMT's highest rated show SINGING BEE when CMT SUMMER OF MUSIC kicks-off Wednesday, June 9 with the 2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS broadcasting live from Nashville. Country stars, rock stars and some of America's most-loved celebs will step out in their designer best at the CMT MUSIC AWARDS RED CARPET 2010, hosted by THE SINGING BEE'S Melissa Peterman, LIVE on Wednesday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com. Peterman and CMT's Evan Farmer will report live from the star-studded red carpet with exclusive interviews, candid moments and a first look at the fashion choices of country's biggest stars. Throughout the one-hour red carpet show, fans watching at home can get the inside scoop as artists stop by the CMT Skype candid camera.

CMT's BIG NEW COMEDY WEEK, which included original comedy premieres each night of the week, became CMT's highest-rated week of the quarter as two new BLUE COLLAR COMEDY specials delivered big weekend numbers for the network.

The LA Phil has confirmed Gershwin Across America, a new concert on the Hollywood Bowl 2010 Jazz series. The concert features a variety of musical artists from different musical genres paying tribute to the music of George Gershwin. The performers include Nancy Wilson and BeBe Winans, as well as other artists to be announced.
