Tony Award-winning choreographer/director Matthew Bourne, along with his company New Adventures, returns to the Ahmanson Theatre with a timeless tale for all ages, 'Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty,' A Gothic Romance. Presented by Center Theatre Group and Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center, 'Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty' opens Thursday, November 21, 2013, and will run for two weeks only through December 1. This year, the Traverse celebrates its fifth annual Dance Festival with a programme of world-class contemporary dance from Scotland and around the UK. The companies forming this impressive programme are plan B, Karl Jay-Lewin and Matteo Fargion, Joss Arnott Dance, Anna Krzystek and David Hughes Dance Scotland. The five-day festival will feature world-class choreographers including Karl Jay-Lewin and Matthew Bourne, running today 5 - Saturday 9 November 2013.

Blood-sucking Vampires take to the stage of New York City Center on Halloween, tonight, October 31, in Matthew Bourne's SLEEPING BEAUTY. As a special Halloween treat (or trick), the audience is invited to a free pre-show Halloween party at The Dream New York, completewith Vampire-inspired Blood-tini cocktails and complimentary Bloody Good Bubbly champagne cocktails for anyone in costume.'

With "Sleeping Beauty", the third ballet in Matthew Bourne's Tchaikovsky trilogy that includes "Nutcracker!" and "Swan Lake", the award-winning British choreographer has once again proved himself to be not only a gifted dancemaker but a masterful storyteller. The production, correctly billed as "A Gothic Romance", is playing at New York's City Center on West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues until November 3rd with the superb original cast of world class dancers from Bourne's London-based New Adventures company.

Production of the short film BLONDE starring Max von Essen begins shooting October 20th in NYC.

MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony Winning Best Musical is preparing to launch the national tour in Appleton, WI at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center tonight, October 15th. MEMPHIS is in Boise, ID for technical rehearsal at the Morrison Center with three performances beginning October 9th - 11th.

Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group has announced the casting and initial tour schedule for their spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA launching a major North American Tour in Providence, R.I. at the Providence Performing Arts Center. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the most successful musical of all-time, will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America.

Tony Robinson will star as Kenneth Grahame, who narrates the Royal Opera House's production of The Wind in the Willows, in the ROH's first commercial transfer to London's West End. This well-loved story is brought to life through song, music, dance and puppetry. The production, directed and choreographed by Will Tuckett, will run at the Duchess Theatre from Wednesday 11 December 2013 – Saturday 1 February 2014
