Asolo Repertory Theatre continues its 2016-17 season and the fifth and final year of its American Character Project with Academy Award-winner Garson Kanin's irresistible girl-meets-world comedy BORN YESTERDAY.

Acting Out Productions has announced the cast for their upcoming production of Next to Normal.  "We're so excited to get rehearsals underway," said the show's director, Liza Altenburg.  "We saw incredible talent at auditions, and we know that this cast of 6 is going to impress!"

RAGTIME: The Musical, currently being presented brilliantly by Actors' Repertory Theatre of Simi at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center through December 4, 2016, is set in the volatile melting pot of turn-of-the-century New York. Based on the classic E. L. Doctorow novel, featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Terrence McNally, RAGTIME weaves together three distinctly American tales -- that of a stifled suburban mother represented by Mother, the matriarch of a white upper-class family in New Rochelle, New York; Tateh, an inventive Jewish immigrant from Latvia; and Coalhouse Walker Jr., a daring young Harlem musician - all united by their courage, compassion and belief in the promise of the future in America at the turn of the 20th Century.

The Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York, New York City's leading service and advocacy organization for nonprofit theatre, today announced its initial roster of programming through June 2017 - to be presented by 11 nonprofit companies - at its new A.R.T./NEW YORK THEATRES (the Gural and Mezzanine), two affordable, state-of-the-art performance spaces located at 502 West 53rd Street - designed by award-winning architect Toshiko Mori.

The Network Performing Arts Production Workshop (NPAPW), an annual conference dedicated to exploring and showcasing the latest technologies for long-distance artistic collaboration and education, will be presented at the New World Center on March 21-23, 2016. Asolo Repertory Theatre presents the sixth annual New Stages Tour, an FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training production of William Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT, which performed throughout October and November 2015. There will be a homecoming performance, open to the public, tonight, November 24 at 6:30pm in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.
