HARVEY to Open Hampton Theatre Company's 30th Season, 10/23-11/9

'Harvey,' the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic comedy by Mary Chase about the hilarious havoc wrought by a 6-foot tall rabbit who is visible to only a few, will be the first production of the Hampton Theatre Company's 30th anniversary season, running from October 23 to November 9 at the Quogue Community Hall.

Centenary Stage Company has announced the cast of Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize winning comedy, Harvey, running October 3rd through the 19th in the Sitnik Theater located in the David and Carol Lackland Center on the campus of Centenary College.

Tandy Cronyn will star in THE TALL BOY, a play by Simon Bent based on the short story 'The Lost' by Kay Boyle. It is directed by Bruch Reed, based on original staging by David Hammond. It will be presented tonight, Sept. 24 and November 2 at Theatre Row as part of United Solo Theatre Festival

Palo Alto Players opens its 84th season with the West Coast premiere of the colorful and stirring musical, Big Fish (based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the Columbia Motion Picture written by John August). With music & lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August, this tender tribute to family and the magic of storytelling is a feast for the eyes, as well as the heart. Big Fish will play for 11 performances (September 12-28, 2014) at the Lucie Stern Theater, located at 1305 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto.

Yesterday Artistic Director Mark Clements announced Milwaukee Repertory Theater's 2014/15 Season. 'Next season will offer strong stories that are substantive pieces of theater that are both enlightening and entertaining,' said Clements. 'The season includes two exciting world premieres, after all the terrible things I do and Five Presidents. We will also continue the tradition that I started upon my arrival by including a musical on our main stage - the first production in the Quadracci Powerhouse will be the award-winning musical, The Color Purple. Audiences responded so enthusiastically to last year's production of Ragtime, I believe they are in for another treat with The Color Purple.'

As it turns out, a sanatorium is the perfect place for a comedy of errors that proves Elwood and Harvey may be the sanest characters around.

The Arvada Center has announced its six-play season, an impressive line-up of plays and musicals that span a range of human experiences including self-discovery, romance, humor, imagination and intrigue. The three musical, three play package is filled with popular titles and includes two regional premieres and an ongoing collaboration with Creede Repertory Theatre. Subscription packages range in price from $99 to $440 and are now on sale to Arvada Center subscribers and the general public. Single tickets for the 2014-2015 theater season go on sale Monday, August 4. Subscribing donors giving at the $150 level or above by June 2 will receive a free guest voucher for each subscription. These vouchers can be used for theater performances in the 2014-15 season. Harvey. Good ol' Ha-Ha-Har-Harvey. Harvey may be one of the most beloved movies starring Jimmy Stewart. That movie was based on this play by Mary Chase. Wendy Koeppl directed this production at Boise Little Theater and it was a very sweet production.
