Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Announces DOLLAR BANK THREE RIVERS ARTS FESTIVAL, 6/6-15

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents engaging public art and vibrant gallery exhibitions as part of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, June 6-15, 2014, throughout Point State Park, Gateway Center, and the Cultural District downtown. Several artworks explore themes of sustainability and environmental practices, and others feature elements created through crowd-sourcing and invite viewer participation. Prominent local artists as well as award-winning national artists are featured, presenting Pittsburgh-premiere and world-premiere exhibitions and installations.

59E59 Theaters will welcome New Perspectives back to Brits Off Broadway with the US premiere of David Rudkin's THE LOVESONG OF ALFRED J HITCHCOCK, directed by Jack McNamara. THE LOVESONG OF ALFRED J HITCHCOCK begins performances tonight, May 1 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 25. Press opening is Wednesday, May 7 at 7 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7 PM; Friday at 8 PM; Saturday at 2 PM & 8 PM; Sunday at 3 PM & 7 PM.

TheatreSquared Artistic Director Robert Ford and Executive Director Martin Miller announced today the 2014/15 lineup of professional theatre in Northwest Arkansas, TheatreSquared Season 9. The new season launches in August 2014 with 'the funniest show in the western world' (The Daily Mail) One Man, Two Guvnors, and continues with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Proof, the theatrical adventure Around the World in 80 Days, the world premiere of Look Away, and the comic drama Superior Donuts.

The critically acclaimed Brits Off Broadway festival, host to the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City, returns for its 9th season of New York premieres of new British theater. Presented by 59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer), Brits Off Broadway launches on Tuesday, April 1 and runs through Sunday, June 29. TheatreSquared's A CHRISTMAS CAROL Begins 12/5

TheatreSquared Artistic Director Robert Ford and Managing Director Martin Miller announced today the cast and creative team for the theatre's original adaptation of Charles Dickens's holiday classic, A Christmas Carol. Directed by Morgan Hicks (Noises Off, Boeing-Boeing), this world premiere stage adaptation will feature eight professional actors performing more than 40 roles. Performances are scheduled for December 5-29, 2013, in the 175-seat Studio Theatre at Walton Arts Center's Nadine Baum Studios in Fayetteville. TheatreSquared Awarded NEA Grant of $20,000 for New Play Festival

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Rocco Landesman, together with TheatreSquared (T2) Artistic Director Robert Ford and Managing Director Martin Miller, announced today that T2 has been selected to receive a $20,000 NEA Art Works Grant to support the theatre's Arkansas New Play Festival. With performances scheduled for June 13-16, 2013 in both Fayetteville and at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre in Little Rock, the Festival will bring together more than 50 artists from across the nation to develop and perform new plays for the American stage.
