Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA) has announced that it has successfully completed its capital campaign to stabilize the institution's finances and open a permanent home, surpassing the campaign's $69.1 million goal.

Nashville Ballet will close its 2016-2017 performance season with its popular experimental ballet series Emergence June 1-3, 2017, at Nashville Ballet's Studio A. This season's edition will feature the debut of three all-new Nashville Ballet collaborations only weeks in the making and the opportunity to interact with the artists to learn about the creative process.

In celebration of her 30th year as a Yamaha Artist, internationally renowned concert pianist Sara Davis Buechner will perform at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on June 1, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.

The name Nannerl Mozart has been a footnote in classical music history, but Sylvia Milo's award-winning play THE OTHER MOZART reveals the extraordinary talents and rich inner life of Amadeus Wolfgang Mozart's sister, whose artistry was stifled and whose compositions were ultimately lost to the world because of her gender. Previews begin May 31 for Rubicon Theatre Company presentation of the acclaimed Off-Broadway drama the N.Y. Times describes as "strikingly beautiful."

The Jacob's Pillow 85th Anniversary Season kicks off with the Season Opening Gala, the Pillow's signature fundraising event, Saturday, June 17. Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival has added two more opportunities for audiences to experience Trisha Brown Dance Company. Originally a five-performance run, August 16-19 in the Ted Shawn Theatre, the Pillow has added a Thursday matinee to the company's schedule. Members of Trisha Brown Dance Company will also perform the site-specific work Trisha Brown: In Plain Site at the Clark Art Institute on Sunday, August 13, a co-presentation of Jacob's Pillow Dance and the Clark. An icon of American dance with extensive Jacob's Pillow connections spanning more than 30 years, choreographer Trisha Brown died March 18, 2017. In a New York Times obituary, chief dance critic Alastair Macaulay wrote “Few dance inventors have so combined the cerebral and sensuous sides of dance as Ms. Brown did, and few have been as influential. Her choreography…helped shape generations of modern dance creators into the 21st century.”

The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Managing Director Robert Bradshaw announce the U.S. premiere of Amir Nizar Zuabi's Oh My Sweet Land (September/October), an intimate solo play that will be staged in private homes and community spaces throughout the five boroughs.

On June 10, 2017 at 8:00 PM, Bryce Dance Company will present White Noise, a series of new, relevant contemporary works.

Artistic Director Antoine Plante and Mercury present Mozart's Requiem, on Saturday, May 13 at 8 p.m. at the Wortham Center's Cullen Theater for the 2016-2017 season finale. A must-see for any music lover, Mozart's final composition is a profoundly moving work, brimming with drama, hopefulness and redemption. Audiences will experience this unforgettable masterpiece on period instruments. MJM Dance, under the artistic direction of Megan J. Minturn, presented their first evening-length piece entitled Monopoly: The Landlord's Game April 13-14, 2017 at the Mark Morris Dance Center. Here, Ms. Minturn in collaboration with her dancers- Leah Antonellis, Michelle Applebaum, Kelli Chapman, Cantata Chen Fan, Anna Johannes, Mara Katz, Chie Kurokawa, and Beverly Lopez, came together to tell the little known history of the game of Monopoly while exposing the injustices of our society and economic system.

The Washington Ballet (TWB) presents the world premiere of Ethan Stiefel's Frontier next month, a ballet inspired by President Kennedy and his space travel aspirations for America.
