Marie Osmond to be Featured in STARS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE Book
by Christina Mancuso
- Jan 14, 2015
Country music veteran Marie Osmond will be featured in the new 'Stars That Make A Difference' book being published early this year.
Creative Partners Books announced late last year that author Randy Jernigan's 'fan book' series had been rebooted and will now include four celebrity biographical sketches under one cover.
The author also recently took to his Facebook page to announce that he and his publishing house will donate a portion of the books earning to The Trevor Project, a hotline for LGBT, and other troubled teens in crisis.
'I believe in the organization and the great work that it does for our youth that may be hurting and need special help,' wrote Jernigan.
The changes in the book series have regretfully prolonged the release date to early 2015, but company officials promise that the content of the manuscript will be filled with inspiring information that the fans want to read about their favorite star.
The first installment of 'Stars That Make A Difference' will feature biographical sketches of Daniel Radcliffe, Ellen Degeneres, Marie Osmond, and Taylor Swift.
Jernigan had announced several years back that he was working on an unauthorized bio of Osmond, but shelved the book several times for various reasons.
'When my publishing partners suggested that I add Marie's biographical sketch to my 'Stars' book I thought is was genius,' said Jernigan.
The Marie Osmond sketch will cover her long and varied career as a country music singer, her time in television, on stage and in film. And a serious look at her personal life including her two divorces, and the untimely death of her son from suicide.
The book will be released through Creative Partners Fan Book Series through Amazon's Kindle and paperback early 2015.

'Stars That Make A Difference' Book to be Released 2015, Says Author
by Robert Diamond
- Dec 7, 2014
Fans of such celebrities as Daniel Radcliffe, Ellen Degeneres, Marie Osmond or Taylor Swift can take comfort in knowing that they will soon be able to read more positive details about their favorite stars.
'We're looking at launching the first book shortly after the beginning of the year,' author Randy Jernigan told a Denver, Colorado radio station in an interview last month. 'This book series is the result of a lot of hard work. Not just in interviews, research and writing, but when you're dealing with celebrities it seems as if you have endless meetings with their reps-attorney's, agents and pr people. Before we publish we have to get the 'all clear' from their people. I think we're only waiting on one last approval and then we go to press.'
Writing about the private lives of celebrities has been Randy Jernigan's bread and butter for the last twenty-two years, doing magazine features on Tom Cruise, Brittney Spears, even Justin Bieber. But, according to Jernigan, you're not about to find those names in his book.
'I've been very selective about who is included in this book series,' explained the author. ''Stars That Make A Difference' is about celebrities that have good reputations for giving back. Those celebs known for caring about their fans and their communities. Not to disrespect the kid but you're not about to find a biographical sketch of Bieber in one of my books-just not gonna happen,' Jernigan told the interviewer.
When Jernigan first announced that he would be publishing biographical sketches on Radcliffe and Degeneres, the online tabloid press had a field day.
'They attributed things to me that I never said and sensationalized what I did say and caused my book project to look like it was going to be a tell all piece about these really great people that I have a great amount of respect for. This project is a far cry from a tell all,' explained the author.
In the radio interview Jernigan made mention of the work actor Daniel Radcliffe does freely for the 'Trevor Project' and that of Marie Osmond and her devotion to sick children and 'The Children's Miracle Network.' Other stars to be included in the series are Ellen Degeneres and Taylor Swift. Both know for their big hearts and giving to those in need.
According to officials at Creative Partners Publishing, the book will be released digitally for the first year, then go to paperback.
'Stars That Make A Difference' will be available at Amazon's Kindle and other digital platforms early next year.

Former Celebrity Journalist Randy Jernigan to Tell All in New Book, SCOOP!
by Robert Diamond
- Nov 9, 2014
Creative Partners Books has announced that Losing to Win author Randy Jernigan will pen a new book about his 22 years as a freelance celebrity journalist and features writer titled 'Scoop.'
With his 'Stars That Make A Difference' book in its final stages of edit, Jernigan has promised his book company to turn in a 'tell all' about his years as a contributing writer and reporter for some of America's most notorious gossip fueled publications.
'I've kept diaries for as long as I can remember and there's a ton of material that was never used in the stories I worked on,' explained Jernigan. 'Whether it was because the editors decided not to use it or I decided that the material was just too much information about the celebrity,' said Jernigan.
Jernigan made a name for himself by writing features on such stars as Britney Spears, Tom Cruise, and Marie Osmond, just to name a few. At one point in his career Jernigan held the distinction of having the most page one's (a magazine's cover story) of any freelancer in the business, as well as being the highest paid freelancer several years in a row. Jernigan was also a regular contributor to such television news programs as 60 Minutes, 20/20, Hard Copy, Good Morning America and American Journal.
But as for Jernigan's book, don't be fooled by the term 'tell-all.' Jernigan says that most of the features he published in magazines such as Globe, Star, or Britain's Daily Mail were considered tame by most standards. In fact, many celebrities sought Jernigan out when they wanted to release a story and trusted him to be fair and sensitive.
'I've always had a reputation for very high journalistic standards when it came to my work,'explained Jernigan. 'I always insisted on at least three sources for a story and accuracy was very important to me. I was pretty lucky when it came to the editors I worked with. They knew my personal standards and never asked me to do something I wasn't comfortable with,' said Jernigan.
It's believed that Jernigan will be spilling the beans about some of the inner workings of the magazine industry and not just about the stars themselves.
According to FishbowlNY, the Utah-based writer has a full plate of writing projects lined up already for the rest of this year and the next. His next book to be released is an inspirational collection of biographical sketches on Daniel Radcliffe, Ellen Degeneres, Marie Osmond, and Taylor Swift. Another cookbook is in the works as well as a screenplay on Mikhail Bulgakov's book 'Master and Margarita' for a film studio.
'Scoop' is expected to hit stores Summer of 2015 and will be published by Creative Partners Books.
