Signature Theatre Company's production of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, began performances Tuesday, September 14. The first New York revival of Kushner's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play is directed by Michael Greif. The production, originally slated to run through December 19, has been extended a second time through February 20, 2011. Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), announces that Michael Halberstam of Writers' Theatre is the recipient of the 2010 Zelda Fichandler Award, which recognizes an outstanding director or choreographer who is transforming the regional arts landscape through singular creativity and artistry in theatre. The award heralds accomplishment to date and promise for the future, artistic vision, and deep commitment to a region outside of New York. It carries an unrestricted grant of $5000 to the individual recipient.

According to Deadline.com, Jeff Daniels is collaborating with Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip's Timothy Busfield, for a new Showtime series entitled, Happily Ever After. Daniels has written the script for the series' pilot, and he will also star in the show as a factory worker turned musician. The potential pilot will be directed by Bushfield.

TV Guide exclusively reports today that Marcia Gay Harden will be returning to NBC's 'Law & Order: SVU' as Federal Agent Dana Lewis in the eighth episode of the show's 12th season. Harden debuted the character in 2005 under her alias 'Star Morrison' in a case centering on a white supremacist group's involvement with a school murder. Harden reprised the character in 2007 in a guest stint, for which she earned an Emmy nomination.
