Pittance Chamber Music announces 2016/17 season with three unique concerts featuring members of the Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Opera Orchestra: October 9, 2016, 3pm at the Eva and Marc Stern Grand Hall in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion; February 3, 2017, 8pm at Zipper Hall, The Colburn School; and March 26, 2017, 3pm, returning to the Eva and Marc Stern Grand Hall. Special guests include Domingo Colburn Stein Young Artists Summer Hassan, soprano and Theo Hoffman, baritone, and Los Angeles Opera Richard Seaver Music Director, conductor James Conlon.

Marc Stern, chairman of LA Opera's board of directors, announced today that Placido Domingo has renewed his contract as the company's Eli and Edythe Broad General Director through the end of the 2021/22 season.

Grand Ave Arts: All Access, the annual, one-day, free community event, returns on Saturday, October 29, 2016 with a diverse program of free, family-friendly activities, interactive workshops and tours that highlight and give access to the world-class arts and cultural organizations lining Grand Avenue between Temple and 6th Streets. Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces the full schedule and new artist additions to the lineup for WelcomeFest, a two-day celebration of the performing arts taking place Saturday, September 10 from 2pm - 10pmand Sunday, September 11 from 10am - 2pm.

The 2015/16 season will open on September 12 with a double bill featuring two of LA Opera's most celebrated productions, Gianni Schicchi and Pagliacci, and highlighting Mr. Domingo's artistry as both singer and conductor.

The season will open onSeptember 12, 2015, and will run through June 19, 2016.

Celebrating the vibrant art of dance, Dance Camera West presents the 13th Annual Dance Media Film Festival, a public event incorporating dance explored through film, live performance, and architectural art. Several free live dance performances, an outdoor movie screening, a family-fun Dance-Along, Lester Horton Dance Awards ceremony, and over 20 shorts and long-form films and documentaries to be screened during the festival taking place in downtown Los Angeles today, June 6 and June 7, 8, and 13, 2014.
