CBS Picks Up Full Seasons of Its Four Freshman Dramas

CBS has given full season orders to all four of its new dramas, including the #1 and #2 new series of the season, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS and SCORPION, Sunday's #1 scripted broadcast, MADAM SECRETARY, and the time period-winning suspense thriller STALKER. These pick-ups include three of the top four new shows launched on television this season, and three series that rank among the top 15 of ALL prime time programs.

The inaugural Produced By: New York (PBNY) conference came to a successful close with nearly 500 attendees at the Time Warner Center in NYC. Some of the entertainment industry's most renowned producers and visionaries including Harvey Weinstein, Darren Aronofsky, Scott Franklin, Bruce Cohen, Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Gordon, Morgan Spurlock, Donna Gigliotti , Gary Lucchesi, Lori McCreary, Terence Winter, among many others came together for a day dedicated to addressing key industry topics and discussing the ever-changing world of producing. PGA & Cadillac Announce Mentors for 'Make Your Mark' Film Competition

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) and Cadillac are pleased to announce the mentors for the Make Your Markcompetition– a short film competition open to producers across the country. Participating producers will compete for the opportunity of a lifetime – a portion of the winning short film and the winning producer's name will be featured in Cadillac's :30 spot that will air on ABC during the Oscars, on Sunday, February 22. The competition honors the work of renowned Academy Award® winning filmmaker Saul Zaentz (“The English Patient,” “Amadeus,” “One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest”), who passed away earlier this year. Zaentz's passion continues to inspire the next generation of industry-defining producers through the Make Your Mark competition.
Producers Guild Announces New Presidents: Gary Lucchesi and Lori McCreary

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today its 2014 National Board and officer election results, which were shared during the Guild's annual General Membership Meeting tonight on the Warner Bros. Studios lot. The Producers Guild elected Gary Lucchesi and Lori McCreary as Presidents. Other newly PGA national officers include: Vice Presidents of Motion PicturesDavid Friendly and Lydia Dean Pilcher; Vice Presidents of Television Tim Gibbons and Jason Katims; Treasurer Christina Lee Storm,and Vice President PGA East Region Peter Saraf. Outgoing PGA Presidents Mark Gordon and Hawk Koch, who served since 2010, received special recognition at the meeting for their unwavering service to the Producers Guild over the years, including their seminal advocacy on behalf of the Guild's credit certification, the Producers Mark.
