In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 46 established and emerging writers, composers and lyricists will converge on the Goodspeed campus later this month to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 25 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Stages St. Louis' Annual Applause Gala Raises Over $375,000

On Friday, November 14, 2014 STAGES St. Louis hosted the thirteenth annual APPLAUSE! Gala at the Ritz-Carlton, a benefit to support the organization's Education and Artistic Programs. APPLAUSE! 2014 raised a record amount of over $375,000. This year's numbers come on the heels of another record-breaking season, which generated nearly $3 million in ticket sales, over a $1 million increase over the previous year and out-grossing any season in STAGES' 28-year history. The event was hosted by STAGES stars Kari Ely and Steve Isom. Lynne Turley served as event Chair.

Newly divorced and recovering co-dependent, Lisa Rothauser, makes her Joe's Pub debut (September 8 at 7:30PM) with eleven, 11 o'clock numbers (go big or go home). Winding through a path of midwestern pathology and ironic hilarity, Lisa's road back to the Broadway is laden with princesses, evil step mothers and even the big, bad Wolf of Wall Street. This one-night only event features humor, heart and some super special Broadway guests.

As previously announced, Jeremy Kushnier (Jesus Christ Superstar, Footloose), Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn), Rachel York (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) and Jack Noseworthy (A Chorus Line, Sweet Smell of Success) lead the cast of New York Musical Theater Festival's 'Stealing Time,' the latest work of writers/composers Tor Hyams and Lisa Neubauer. 'Stealing Time' will play as a special event in the 2012 New York Musical Theater Festival at the PTC Performance Space. 'Stealing Time' is the second NYMF project for Hyams coming off the success of 'Greenwood' starring Andrea McArdle in the 2011 New York Musical Theater Festival.
