A Dog Story, a new musical with music and lyrics by Gayla D. Morgan (Mary - A Musical) and book by Eric H. Weinberger (Wanda's World???????), will play off-Broadway at The Loft at The Davenport Theater (354 W. 45th Street) beginning November 3rd with the official opening scheduled for November 17th. If you've seen the movie version of the THE FULL MONTY, and even if you haven't, you should make it a point to see STAGES St. Louis' current production of the musical version, because it's a fabulous show. Sometimes it's silly, sometimes it's serious, but one thing is certain, it's a show that tugs at the heart and has you rooting hard for these unemployed steel workers to pull off the scheme one of them hatches in order to earn some real cash. The show is wonderfully cast, and smartly directed, and more importantly, features a splendid, catchy score (music and lyrics by David Yazbek), and a top notch script by Terrence McNally that retains a lot of the more significant issues that made the movie so special to begin with. At its core it's a story of hope and following your dreams in the face of adversity, something we could all use more of, and that alone makes it an absolute must-see event.

Broadway Records today announced the release of The Raven (from 'Nevermore') [Remix] - EP, an extended play recording containing three versions of the song 'The Raven' from the gothic opera Nevermore - The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe, written and composed by Jonathan Christenson: a Single Version of the song as performed on the Original Off-Broadway Cast Recording of Nevermore, a Club Remix version, and a Radio Remix version. Both remixes were created by DJ and music producer Julian Marsh.

NEVERMORE - The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe, a unique theatrical experience illuminating the haunting life story of iconic writer Edgar Allan Poe, will play its final Off-Broadway performance on Sunday, March 29 at 3:00 pm at New World Stages.

NEVERMORE -- The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe is encouraging audience members to channel their inner Poe by dressing in their finest Goth and Steampunk attire when attending a performance of the off-Broadway hit. Beginning today, February 19, all Thursday evening performances will be 'Goth and Steampunk' inspired, with all audience members dressed in Goth or Steampunk attire receiving a free drink voucher. Just be sure to remove your Top Hat before the show begins!
