Overture Galleries create a forum for diverse artistic expression that fosters the growth of local artists, curators and arts organizations. On Monday, May 14, 2018, a committee of local visual artists and art professionals selected 12 exhibitions for the 2018/19 season of Overture Galleries I, II & III. All galleries and related events are free and open to the public.

The Consortium of Asian American Theaters & Artists (CAATA), dedicated to advancing the field of Asian American theater, announces Chicago as the host city for the Sixth National Asian American Theater Conference and Festival (ConFest), to be held August 13 - 18. ConFest Early Bird passes start at $350 and are available at CAATA.net beginning Wednesday, May 16 at 10 a.m.

ESPERANCE THEATER COMPANY is pleased to present the world premiere production of BREITWISCH FARM, a new play inspired by Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, written by Jeremy J. Kamps, and directed by Ryan Quinn. BREITWISCH FARM will play a three-week limited engagement at Town Stages (221 West Broadway, New York, NY 10013). Young Collectors Contemporary, presented by Young Arts Patrons, has confirmed over 20 artists for the 2018 fair, running March 22-25, 2018 at Crosstown Arts. Young Collectors Contemporary is produced by Young Arts Patrons to serve as a hub for artists and contemporary art enthusiasts to exchange ideas and collect works from emerging contemporary artists. Part exhibition, part party, and part contemporary arts conference the event is for emerging artists, collectors, and the arts community.

Directed by Ron Nakahara, the cast features Leanne Cabrera, Dinh James Doan, Chris Doi, Eric Elizaga, David Huynh, Scott Kitajima, Karen Tsen Lee,Claro de los Reyes, Shigeko Sara Suga, and Tony Vo.
