Globally, bullying is a problem facing many school aged children. It is a comfort to know that many are looking for ways to curb bullying and make the world a better place for our children. On Monday, February 8, 2016, to celebrate it's expansion to the East Coast, the international anti-bullying organization No Bully will be rocking Feinstein's/54 Below with their fundraising concert BROADWAY AGAINST BULLYING.

On Tuesday, February 2nd, the Theater People podcast announced the 'Theater People Summer Series' which will star Lesli Margherita, Lindsay Mendez, and Laura Osnes.

Olivier Award winner and Bay Area native, Lesli Margherita (Dames at Sea, Matilda The Musical), will bring her brand new solo show, BROAD, to Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances only - Friday, March 25 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, March 26 (7 p.m.).

On Monday, February 1st, Theater People Podcast welcomes SCHOOL OF ROCK star Alex Brightman. Before being cast in the leading role in the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Brightman made his Broadway debut as an understudy in GLORY DAYS (the show that infamously closed on its opening night). He went on to replace in the role of  Boq in the Broadway company of WICKED, Michael Wormwood in the Broadway company of MATILDA, and then joined the original Broadway company of BIG FISH.

Each one's a guilty pleasure! The February 7 cast for the new comedy-improv phenomenon 'Villain: DeBlanks' is just as dangerously funny as the previous line-ups. Audiences will be shown the evidence onSunday February 7, at 7:30pm at The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street. The series plays the first Sunday of the month through April 3, 2016.

 Laugh your (BODY PART)_____ off as 'Brenda Braxton presents Villain: DeBlanks' continues February 7, and performs the first Sunday of each month at 7:30pm at The Triad NYC. It's 'madcap hilarity' (BroadwayWorld.com) for a cause: a portion of proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of New York.

On Monday, January 18th, The Theater People podcast welcomes Tony-nominated FUN HOME star Beth Malone. Malone made her Broadway debut in the 2006 production of RING OF FIRE, and has found much success working regionally, including a critically acclaimed turn in the title role of THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN.

Thursday night at Feinstein's/54 Below, Scott Siegel--the busiest cabaret show producer in town--hosted a tribute to Cole Porter's classic musical, Kiss Me Kate, as part of the 2015 BroadwayWorld Award-nominated 54 Below Sings . . . series. With Siegel at the lectern filling in plot, Musical Director Ross Patterson on piano, and contributions by The Broadway By the Year Chorus, the evening was vivacious and fun.

Tonight, January 7, the famous songs of Cole Porter's greatest show come to life once again at Feinstein's/54 Below in a special concert performance of the 1948 Broadway smash hit.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that DAMES AT SEA will play its final performance at the Helen Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street), Sunday January 3, 2016, at 3pm.  DAMES AT SEA will have played 32 preview and 85 regular performances, having opened Thursday, October 22, 2015.  

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. The famous songs of Cole Porter's greatest show come to life once again in a special concert performance of the 1948 Broadway smash hit. Kiss Me Kate was Cole Porter's biggest hit show; it was his longest running Broadway production and his favorite creation. Audiences have consistently agreed! With songs like "So In Love," "Too Darn Hot," "Were Thine That Special Face" and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare," Kiss Me Kate has always been one of Broadway's most beloved musicals. It won the very first Tony Award for Best Musical and when it was revived, it won Best Revival of Musical.

The first ever Broadway production of DAMES AT SEA will play its 100th performance on Broadway on Saturday, December 19th at 8pm.  In celebration of the critically acclaimed musical comedy set in 1933, tickets for the Saturday, December 19th 8pm performance will be $19.33.  You can purchase the specially priced $19.33 tickets only at the Helen Hayes Theatre box office on Saturday, December 19th from 10am till 8pm for that evening's performance.  Customers may purchase up to 8 tickets per person and should reference the code Dames 1933 or 100th Performance.
