CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS) and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) announced today that the companies have entered into a 50/50 partnership for the highly distributed entertainment cable network TVGN and the website TVGuide.com. The basic cable network, available in more than 80 million homes, will continue to be entertainment-focused, with a specific rebranding and programming strategy to be announced at a later date.

CBS and Comcast Sign 10-Year Carriage Deal

CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS) and Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK) today announced a comprehensive, ten-year agreement that provides for retransmission consent of CBS Television Stations until the year 2020. The long-term, wide-ranging pact also includes carriage of the full suite of Showtime Networks, Comcast's launch of the Smithsonian Channel and expanded distribution of CBS College Sports.
