Clive Davis and The Recording Academy presented the Pre-GRAMMY Gala, continuing the party that has been a Davis legacy for more than 30 years. This exclusive, star-studded celebration was attended by artists and industry VIPs in music, film and television and featured spectacular musical performances.

As part of this year's event, Epic Records' Chairman and CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid was honored as the 2013 GRAMMY Salute To Industry Icons for his significant contributions to the music industry and the impact his efforts have had on music and The Business of music.

Performers included Afrojack, Jennifer Hudson, Gladys Knight, The Lumineers, Miguel, Emeli Sande, Patti Smith, and Usher.

Also in attendance were Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow, Len Blavatnik, Mary J. Blige, Alice Cooper, Miley Cyrus, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Johnny Depp, Dr. Luke and Max Martin, Daneil Ek (Sporify), Foo Fighters, David Foster, Lucian Grainge, Jordin Sparks, Kathy Griffin, Melanie Griffith, David Guetta, Magic Johnson, Quincy Jones, Ryan Kaepernick. John Legend, Ryan Lochte, Jennifer Lopez, Bruno Mars, John Mayer, Missy Elliott, Joni Mitchell, Les Moonves, Doug Morris, Ne-Yo, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Katy Perry, Joan Rivers, Jill Scott, Ryan Seacrest, Gene Simmons, Jordin Sparks, Sting, Sly Stone, Tracey Ullman, Diane Warren and Pharrell Williams.

It all took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, 9876 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills, Calif.
