Sakar International and Nickelodeon Consumer Products (NCP) will release a line of consumer electronics and accessories inspired by Victorious, the network's hit live-action comedy starring Victoria Justice. Victorious, a co-production with Sony Music, follows Tori Vega (Justice) as she unexpectedly finds herself navigating life at an elite Hollywood performing arts high school. Since its launch last April, Victorious has been the #1 program in its timeslot on all TV with tweens 9-14 and teens 12-17, reaching 15.1 million tweens and 11.4 million teens each quarter.

Yesterday, July 8, celebrities attended the World Renowned Shen Yun Performing Arts Show. The show was held at The Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in Los Angeles, California. Nickelodeon has announced that they will partner with Columbia/Epic Label Group (a label group of Sony Music Entertainment) to co-produce Victorious, an original new live-action comedy series from prolific creator and executive producer Dan Schneider (iCarly, Zoey 101, Drake & Josh) and featuring teen star Victoria Justice (Zoey 101, Spectacular!). Twenty episodes have been ordered of the half-hour comedy series, which is set in a modern day Hollywood school for the performing arts and features an ensemble cast of teens who act, sing, dance and perform original music. The series, set to premiere in 2010, is currently being produced in Los Angeles, CA.

A variety of music, dance, and theatre performances, and a film series comprise the 2009 fall season for Harlem Stage, a performing arts center and one of the country's top presenters, producers, and supporters of works by artists of color.

Angelo Parra's The Devil's Music: The Life and Blues of Bessie Smith will be performed at the New Brunswick Playhouse, running March 3?29. Miche Braden, who portrayed Bessie Smith in the previous productions of the play, will recreate the title role once more.
