Accoridng to press notes, Carner & Gregor are a musical composing duo on the rise, who take great interest in working with college students. In the style of their Barely Legal Extravaganza concert series, they present nine fresh faces new to the New York City cabaret scene in this concert showcasing their work.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) has announced the nominees for the 26th Annual MAC Awards. The winners will be announced live at the MAC Awards Show on Thursday, March 29th, at the world-famous B.B. King Blues Club & Grill.

Edmund Gaynes, in association with David Gersten, will present Loni Ackerman, Brad Bradley Gene Castle, and Karla Shook in TIN PAN ALLEY (The Original iTunes), which began an open-ended Off-Broadway engagement February 25th at Actors Temple Theater (339 West 47th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues). Opening Night is set for March 19th (7pm). TIN PAN ALLEY will run 75 minutes.

Actor/Songwriter/Performer Jared Weiss will present his debut evening of original songs (entitled Desperate Times) at 9:30pm on Friday, March 16th at the Laurie Beechman Theater. Jared invites you to join him and his band of gypsies (Seth Eliser, Joe Iconis, Ian Kagey and Rob Rokicki) as they unleash a new brand of theatrical rock music on the world. Equal parts Rock, Folk, and Musical theatre, Desperate Times' truthful fictions chronicle an artist's turbulent emotional life. Sagas of love, fear, hope, submission, and more abound as Jared and the gang, take you on a roller-coaster ride through the life of his mind. Come watch them live and die on stage, four minutes at a time, as they take no prisoners.

Due to audience reception and demand The Fugitive Kind (Michael Page, Artistic Director) once again will present the cabaret show, Sarcastic, Sentimental, Bitchy and Sweet for one performance only: March 13 at 7:00 p.m. at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd St.). Negin Farsad, Amy Albert and Beth McGregor present the weekly standup show, Comedy School Dropout. In the grand tradition of East Village alternative rooms, Comedy School Dropout brings standup comics, the occasional comedy musical act, subversive duo, or talented threesome, to the stage for the price of zero dollars.
