Massachusetts releases its second annual MassJazz Travel Guide, a round-up of jazz festivals, concerts and musical events taking place across the Bay State from July through October 2010. The 32-page magazine is available free to visitors and residents at tourism kiosks, in hotels and nightclubs, and on college campuses.

The line-up for the 65th Caramoor International Music Festival features Genre-defying ensemble 2 Foot Yard opening the series on July 2, followed by ETHEL, one of America's premier post-classical string quartets, on July 9. The series concludes with Christopher O'Riley, a dynamic pianist and host of NPR's From the Top, in a July 30 program entitled 'Out of My Hands'. Idina Menzel made her Texas debut Thursday night at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, and impressed the 2000+ people in attendance so much that she was called out for two encores.

The Cornelia Street Café (29 Cornelia St.) hosts an evening tonight of spoken word at 6 pm and music at 8:30 pm. The spoken word set, 'You Know Who I Am: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen,' will be performed by Davidson Garrett, LuLu Lolo, and Jane Titus. Hosted by David Devoe, GNU VOX: Peter Eldridge will be the musical guest.

Pianist Herbie Hancock, one of jazz music's most celebrated artists, will perform at Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Sunday, August 22, 2010, at 7 p.m. Tickets to the concert are currently available for purchase only to the Nashville Symphony's 2010/11 season ticket holders. Single tickets will be available to the general public beginning July 17, 2010.

It's a highlight of every winter, a celebration of the best entertainment in New York's nightlife scene.
