Ghostlight Records releases the physical edition of Original Broadway Cast Album of the new musical comedy Something Rotten!, today, July 17, in stores and online.

The company of Broadway's SOMETHING ROTTEN! will soon head to Barnes & Noble.

The Original Broadway cast album for It Shoulda Been You was recorded by Ghostlight Records and will be available for purchase digitally on Friday, August 14, 2015 and physically on Friday, September 18, 2015. Licensing for future productions of the hilarious, crowd-pleasing musical will be available through Music Theatre International (MTI). The Wednesday, July 15, 2015 matinee performance of It Shoulda Been You will be filmed for the Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts and preserved for the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive. Ghostlight Records just announced that the Original Broadway Cast Album for Something Rotten!, the new musical comedy nominated for 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, hit #1 on the Billboard Top Broadway chart its first week in digital release. The album also debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #94, the Billboard Top Current Albums chart at #45, and the Billboard Overall Digital Albums chart at #22. This marks the strongest overall cast album debut since June 2014, and the third-strongest sales week of any cast recording in five years. Something Rotten! is officially available now on iTunes here and other digital formats with a 36-page booklet. The disc will be available in stores and online July 17. The album is produced by Kurt Deutsch, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Karey Kirkpatrick and Kevin McCollum. It is co-produced by Lawrence Manchesterand Phil Reno. The Off-Broadway hit Murder for Two opens tonight (June 3) in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater.  The production has now been extended through Sunday, August 2.

Ghostlight Records has recorded and released the Original Broadway Cast Album of the new musical comedy Something Rotten!.

Kathy Evans, Founding Executive Director of Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced the 17 writers and 8 new musicals selected for the fifth summer of weeklong retreats. For eight consecutive weeks beginning July 5th, each writing team will have a residency in Rhinebeck, New York. Writers are provided a private home, transportation, food, and a $400 stipend. This year's writers include Obie winner Kirsten Childs, Tony nominee Elizabeth Davis, and 2015 Jonathan Larson award-winners Charlie Sohne, Tim Rosser, and Sam Willmott, who also just won the Kleban Prize.
