Following spectacular performances at Upstairs at Vitello's , The Catalina Jazz Club and the El Caballero Country Club, Fraser Entertainment Group welcomes a whole new cast of stars from Broadway, television and radio for AN EVENING OF CLASSIC BROADWAY. With musical direction by Glee's Brad Ellis on Monday June 23rd, 2014 at Upstairs at Vitello's (4349 Tujunga Avenue) in Studio City, the evening will feature songs from classic Broadway shows -- CAROUSEL, CABARET, THE SECRET GARDEN, COMPANY, RAGTIME and more.

The Heart of the Arts in Southern Nevada, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is set to welcome its one millionth guest during the run of the Broadway hit The Book of Mormon. The Ogunquit Playhouse, America's Foremost Summer Theatre, is pleased to present the first installment of a new post-show discussion series featuring the dynamic creators of Billy Elliot the Musical following the Saturday matinee on June 28 at 6PM. 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Whitney Bashor Live at 54 Below on Thursday, June 26, 2014. Bashor starred on Broadway this season as Marian/Chiara in The Bridges of Madison County, singing Jason Robert Brown's folk-inspired "Another Life". Bashor's solo concert debut will showcase wide-ranging vocals, as she explores influences of rock and roll, R&B, folk classics, country and contemporary Broadway standards.

Goodspeed Musicals is delighted to announce that Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winner Sheldon Harnick will be the latest recipient of The Goodspeed Award for Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre. Over the years Mr. Harnick's work has been represented on the Goodspeed stage with Fiorello! (1985), She Loves Me (1978), The Apple Tree (1999), and this summer's 50th Anniversary production of Fiddler on the Roof at the Goodspeed Opera House. The award will be presented by longtime friend and star of stage and screen, two time Tony Award-winner Tony Roberts (Broadway's Promises, Promises; They're Playing Our Song; Victor/Victoria; Cabaret).

Today in 1999, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown closed at the Ambassador Theatre, where it ran for 149 performances. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a 1967 musical comedy with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts. The revival cast featured Anthony Rapp as Charlie Brown, Kristin Chenoweth as Sally and Roger Bart as Snoopy.

Broadway's Donna Lynne Champlin (Sweeney Todd, Billy Elliott, Hollywood Arms) announces Ode To Joy, a national online auction of one-of-a-kind Broadway, film and TV memorabilia donated by her friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry to raise funds for her sister-in-law Joy Parker, one of a handful of young women in the United States living with ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The auction will go live today, Tuesday, June 10 and continue through Friday, June 20.

Andrea Martin is a two-time Emmy Award winner for the critically acclaimed sketch comedy series SCTV, and is also a two-time Tony Award winner. She won her second and most recent Tony Award last June of 2013 for her performance as Berthe in the Broadway revival of "Pippin" directed by Diane Paulus and her first award was for the musical 'My Favorite Year.' Adelaide local Megan Doherty brings her next instalment of her personal growth to the stage with her new show DIRTY THIRTY.

The Ogunquit Playhouse, America's Foremost Summer Theatre, will be one of the first regional theatres in the U.S. to produce the Tony Award winning Billy Elliot the Musical on stage June 25 to July 26. Billy Elliot tells the story of a young boy who discovers his true passion lies in ballet class and not in the boxing ring, and then finds the strength to defy the convention of his small UK mining town to make his dream come true. The Ogunquit production features a cast of Broadway veterans, including Anastasia Barzee, Armond Shultz and Tony Award nominee Joel Blum.

Broadway and operetta unite in the New York Philharmonic's concert performance of Leonard Bernstein's satirical, effervescent musical CANDIDE, slated for release online on Digital Theatre, today 4 June 2014. The show features music by Leonard Bernstein, book adapted from Voltaire by Hugh Wheeler, lyrics by Richard Wilbur, and additional lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, John Latouche, Lillian Hellman, Dorothy Parker and Leonard Bernstein.
