On Monday, December 8, 2014 stars from your favorite Broadway shows will perform a one-night-only New York concert event to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. The show begins at 7pm at the beautiful and historic Grand Lodge Masonic Hall located in the heart of Manhattan at 23rd Street and 6th Avenue.

Honest Accomplice Theatre's THE BIRDS & THE BEES: UNABRIDGED is returning to Lower East Side's University Settlement to build on last year's debut success to explore new themes in female and trans sexuality. THE BIRDS & THE BEES: UNABRIDGED explores the unique -- yet interwoven -- life circumstances of eight women & trans people forced to confront their own sexuality, realizing that sexuality itself is not simple or clear-cut. Through dialogue, movement, song, humor, and multimedia, the performance examines such themes as partner communication, sexual identity, the de-sexualization of aging women, today's 'hook-up' culture, and sexual health. A beloved story of life on the Mississippi in the 1880s, Show Boat is both a poignant love story and a powerful reminder of America's bitter legacy of racism. The score is filled with unforgettable songs such as "Ol' Man River" and "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man," and the dazzling production features large, colorful sets, sumptuous costumes and exhilarating dance numbers. Of recent performances at Houston Grand Opera, the Houston Chronicle wrote "[This is] a towering work. . . there's a magnificence in its music, its narrative sweep, its deep awareness of something bigger than ourselves."

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.

Based on the novel Slightly Perfect by George Malcolm-Smith, the musical has a book by Emmy Award winners George Balzer & Sam Perrin ('The Jack Benny Program'), music by Academy Award nominee Harry Revel (Paris in Spring) and lyrics by Arnold B. Horwitt (Make Mine Manhattan, Plain and Fancy). UMC artistic director Ben West (Caesar's Wife, The Fig Leaves Are Falling, At Home Abroad) directs the reading.
