Thom Fogarty directs the World Premiere of THE ARTIFACTS by Steven Fechter (THE WOODSMAN), presented through April 29th, 2012, by Other Side Productions and Thom Fogarty. This intimate 'black box' production of Steven Fechter's exciting new work has a cast of four : Lulu Fogarty*, Caitlin Rose McMahon, Amy Newhall and Armand Anthony. Music by reknown jazz artist "Blue" Gene Tyranny. Costume, Lighting and Stage design by Thom Fogarty.

James William Productions and Stephenie Skyllas will present Kurt Peterson and Victoria Mallory in 'When Everything Was Possible, A Concert (with comments),' for one night only, Sunday April 29th (7:30pm) at New York City Center (131 West 55th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues), as a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. They will be joined by a thirteen-piece band (Michael Rafter, Music Director), playing new orchestrations by Tony Award winner Jonathan Tunick. Larry Moss directs, with musical staging by Joshua Bergasse ("Smash"). Carolyn Wong will provide lighting design, with sound design by Leon Rothenberg and projection design by Telegraphicmedia.

Best known for his role on 'The Dukes of Hazzard,' Tom Wopat has also appeared on Broadway in Sondheim on Sondheim, I Love My Wife, Guys and Dolls, Chicago, 42nd Street, Glengarry Glen Ross, and Catch Me If You Can. He received Tony nominations for his roles in A Catered Affair and the revival of Annie Get Your Gun. Wopat's latest CD Consider it Swung is a swinging collection of standards.

Theodore Mann Memorial Tribute Set for May 1 at Circle in the Square Theatre

A Memorial Tribute honoring THEODORE MANN, Circle in the Square's Co-Founder, Artistic Director, and Co-Producer, who passed away on February 24 at the age of 87, will be held at Circle in the Square Theatre, 1633 Broadway, at 50th Street, on Tuesday, May 1, at 1 p.m. Seating is open to the general public on a first come, first-served basis.

It's hard to tell from the outset if David Hare's play, "The Blue Room", adapted from Arthur Schnitzler's "La Ronde", dislikes women more or men as the men all seem to be pricks and women all seem to be playthings for the men. But after reflection overnight on this string of distasteful sexual encounters I think I settled on it. The play (and possibly Hare himself) dislikes the audience as he gives us nothing and no one to empathize with and no real journey to follow.

Set during the heyday of the Soviet bloc, the story of A WARSAW MELODY follows the blossoming relationship between a Russian boy and a Polish girl and their struggle against the public and social institutions that explicitly forbid the existence of their love. The basic drive to discover who we are and where we come from is at the core of the new 10-part PBS series Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr., the 12th series from Professor Gates, the Alphonse Fletcher University Professor at Harvard University and director of the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research. Filmed on location across the United States, the series premieres nationally Sundays, March 25 - May 20 at 8 pm ET on PBS (check local listings). (Note: program one and two are scheduled on Sunday, March 25 from 8-9 pm and 9-10 pm respectively.)

Kathleen Marshall-Helmed DINER Heading to Broadway in Spring 2013!

BASE Entertainment has just announced that DINER, a new musical based on the critically acclaimed 1982 film with a book by Academy Award winner and original DINER screenwriter Barry Levinson and music & lyrics by 9-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, will have its pre-Broadway world premiere at San Francisco's SHN Curran Theatre (445 Geary Street). Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall, DINER will play a strictly limited four week engagement from Tuesday, October 23, 2012, through Sunday, November 18, 2012, with an opening night of Friday, November 2, 2012. Due to these confirmed San Francisco dates DINER will now bow on Broadway in the spring of 2013, instead of the fall of 2012 as previously announced. Design team and casting will be announced at a later date.

Indian Ranch Announces Summer Concerts

Indian Ranch has announced three new shows for the 2012 summer concert schedule. On June 24, country-rock favorite The Outlaws will take over the stage at Indian Ranch. On July 8, Indian Ranch will welcome The Bacon Brothers and on August 11, it's Little Feat. Tickets for all three shows go on sale Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 10 am, through Ticketmaster.com, the Indian Ranch Box office, at all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
