Television icon Regis Philbin will celebrate the nation's 236th birthday as host of the MACY's NBC's 4th OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR on NBC. The special features an all-star line-up of performances, including chart-topping superstars Katy Perry and Kenny Chesney. The show will air tonight, July 4th from 9-10 p.m. ET, 8-9 p.m. CT.

Showbiz411 reports that viewers may soon see talk show co-hosts Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford team up for the final hour of NBC's 'Today.' Philbin recently filled in for vacationing co-host Hoda Kotb on the show.

The 39th Daytime Emmy awards took place yesterday, June 23, and top honors for Drama Series went to ABC's General Hospital and its leading man Anthony Geary. General Hospital's Jonathan Jackson and Nancy Lee Grahn also took the awards for Best Supporting Actor/Actress in a Drama Series. The full list of winners follows!

SILENCE! The Musical is celebrating Gay Pride weekend with a special added matinee performance today, June 23 at 3 PM at PS122. The cast of the smash hit show is scheduled to appear in Sunday's Pride March, which begins at noon at 36th St. & Fifth Ave. and ends at Christopher & Greenwich Streets. The cast will be bringing along fun surprise goodies to hand out to all their fans in the crowd.

The Latino spirit is alive in New Harlem Arts Theatre's upcoming production of 'Sweet Charity,' directed by Julio Agustin, to be presented July 26 to August 19 at CCNY's Aaron Davis Hall, 135th Street and Convent Ave. The characters of the classic sixties musical will be re-envisioned to reflect the changing roles of Latinos in our society while the traditional music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon will be preserved. The 1966 Broadway tuner was originally conceived, staged and choreographed by Bob Fosse. Director Julio Agustin has tapped choreographer Lainie Munro for the job of nestling his radical new concept into Fosse's formative jazz dances.
