The forthcoming Broadway production REAR WINDOW has found its creative team in playwright Keith Reddin(Too Much Memory, Life and Limb) and director Terry Kinney (reasons to be pretty, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest). The play will be adapted from Cornell Woolrich's original short story, the iconic and haunting tale of the wheelchair-bound witness to a possible murder in his neighboring New York City apartment.

Beginning in July 2013, the Alley Theatre will produce Agatha Christie's The Hollow during its popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills series. Under the direction of Gregory Boyd, the Alley's resident company of actors will bring to life the colorful cast of characters in Agatha Christie's The Hollow.

Theatre Agile, Altera Vitae Productions and the Rialto Theatre present Marg Szkabula (Pissy's Wife). The cabaret-style play, written by Ron Chambers, directed by Lib Spry (assisted by Luciana Burcheri) and starring Carolyn Fe with musical sidekick, Le Jack runs in the Rialto Hall from tonight, May 15 to 26, 2013. With Ms Fe's love of music and theatre, this one woman show is a natural for the raspy-voiced blues diva (see bio below).

New York Live Arts' newest program initiative, Live Ideas is an annual humanities festival that will explore a different theme each year over several days. Goodman Theatre announces a special staged reading of Roberto Bolaño's epic novel 2666-co-adapted for the stage and co-directed by Goodman Artistic Director Robert Falls and new Goodman Playwright-in-Residence Seth Bockley-tonight, December 17 at 6pm as part of Goodman's December 8 - 23 New Stages series. (Note: The reading of 2666 will last approximately five hours, including three intermissions).

Five new plays (two fully staged workshop productions performed in repertory plus three staged readings) comprise Goodman Theatre's free 2012 New Stages Amplified in the Owen Theatre, a series that since 2004 has given audiences a first look at more than 50 new plays in development.
