James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director of York Theater Company has announced that as part of its Developmental Reading Series, it will present Erik Ransom's 'More Than All the World' an epic musical inspired by Christopher Marlowe's 'Edward II' directed by Rachel Klein ('Around the World in 80 Days', 'The Anthem') with music direction and arrangements by Andy Peterson ('Atomic'). The reading will take place on March 15th at 2PM.

Working to address a long-standing career issue in the opera world, The Dallas Opera is delighted to announce that applications are now being accepted for a unique residential program designed to provide training and career support for distinctively talented women conductors: The Linda and Mitch Hart Institute for Women Conductors at The Dallas Opera. 

 The Dallas Opera resumes the 2015-2016 Season in early spring with Jules Massenet's heart-wrenching and seductive tale of love, lust, and spectacularly bad choices: MANON, opening March 4, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House for the first of four performances.

Tonight, Irving Berlin's White Christmas the Broadway musical opens at The Music Hall in downtown Portsmouth. Presented in a partnership between The Music Hall and the Ogunquit Playhouse, this production marks the largest show on The Music Hall's stage and the largest show of Ogunquit's season. This delightful classic stars Broadway veteran Jeffry Denman reprising his role as Phil Davis, which he played to critical acclaim on Broadway, and Broadway's Joey Sorge, who starred in the Ogunquit production of Nice Work If You Can Get It earlier this season, as Bob Wallace. The singing Haynes sisters are played by Broadway actresses Kate Loprest as Betty, and Vanessa Sonon as Judy. Complete with magical sets and iconic songs, the show is a Christmas Card come to life.

The Music Hall and the Ogunquit Playhouse are pleased to announce four Broadway veterans to star in the beloved holiday classic White Christmas at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, December 9 to 20. Musical Theatre Factory in association with The Chelsea Symphony presented a gala concert event 'Get Yourself Some New Orchestrations,' the launch of an exciting new series which pairs emergent musical theatre writers with Broadway orchestrators to commission stunning new orchestrations of their shows. Last night Barrington Stage Company presented the World Premiere of Engagements by Lucy Teitler and BroadwayWorld was there. Directed by Louisa Proske (BSC debut), Engagements stars (in their BSC debuts) Amanda Quaid (Irish Rep's The Weir) as Lauren, Kate Loprest (First Date) as Allison, Adam Gerber (George Street Playhouse The Whipping Man) as Ryan, Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening) as Catherine, and Robert David Grant (Yale Rep Hamlet) as Mark.

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, will present the sexy, millennial world premiere comedy Engagements by Lucy Teitler, from August 13-30 with a press opening Wednesday, August 19 at 7:30pm.
