MTV today announced that superstar, singer-songwriter and six-time Grammy(R) Award-winner Taylor Swift will perform a new song from her upcoming fourth studio album Red for the first time at the '2012 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS LIVE from the STAPLES Center on Thursday, September 6 on MTV at 8:00pm ET/PT.

VH1 has announced the newest artist line-up of its critically-acclaimed original music franchise 'VH1 Storytellers.'

Focus Features' animated comedy thriller ParaNorman gets its nationwide release by Focus today, Friday, August 17th, 2012. Following LAIKA and Focus' groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated animated feature Coraline, ParaNorman is only the second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D. Jon Brion created the score for the film.

Comedian Kevin Hart announced the news that he will host the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards by posting a video on Wednesday on MTV's website.

It may be the final week of Lincoln Center Out of Doors, but the festival isn't winding down when it comes to exciting performances. This week, Lincoln Center celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the landmark Soul at the Center, highlighted by Valerie Simpson's first tribute to her late partner, Nick Ashford, since his passing. The pair that wrote such Motown hits as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)," and "I'm Every Woman," made their performing debut as a duo at Lincoln Center 40 years ago. The Tribute takes place on Friday, August 10 at Damrosch Park.
