According to CinemaBlend.com, Adam Shankman's Rock of Ages film adaptation of the Broadway musical is slated for release on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download October 9, 2012.

The movie took fifth place (behind Brave, Madagascar 3, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Prometheus), having the sixth-highest opening ever for a musical.

Warner Brothers Pictures (Philippines) released the much awaited stage-to-screen adaptation of "Rock of Ages" one day ahead of the United States. The film stars Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx, Diego Boneta, Julianne Hough, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige, Brian Cranston, Malin Ackerman, Paul Giamatti, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
