Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Renee Blinkwolt, Managing Director) announces a July lineup featuring three exciting new comedy, music and theater events. Coming up in July: (All shows are at 8pm unless otherwise noted)

In 1994, Bette Midler returned to New York after nearly 20 years in Los Angeles, and started the New York Restoration Project, a non-profit organization devoted to bringing abandoned and neglected parks, gardens, and open spaces in all five boroughs back to life. NYRP includes the beautiful New Leaf Cafe in Fort Tryon Park as part of its success, and is committed to helping restore parks and gardens devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Terrence Mann, currently starring in "Pippin," will perform at a benefit for the children of MS 54 - The Booker T. Washington School on Monday, May 19th, at 6:30pm in the school's auditorium. Comedian Judy Gold will host the event, with music direction by Joe Bachana. Brigid Brady ("The Phantom of the Opera"), Paula Leggett Chase ("Bye Bye Birdie), Lauri Landry ("The Scarlet Pimpernel") and George Merrick ("South Pacific") are scheduled to appear. In addition, MS 54 parent-performers are to include Marc Bernstein, Nathan Carver, Rob Derke, L. J. Ganser, Lisa Tamagini, Maren Waxenberg and Sarah Worthington. MS 54 is a public middle school on West 108th Street, which serves some 825 children.

NickMom will pay homage to mom with a Take Me To Your Mother premiere week Monday, May 5 - Friday, May 9, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

The 32nd edition of the Just For Laughs Festival, presented by Videotron in association with Loto-Quebec, promises to be the most star-studded lineup ever with a living legend, TV and cinema's biggest comedy names, top touring comedians, cult-favourites and up-and-comers all converging on Montreal this summer.

Symphony Space's free signature event, Wall to Wall, took up the theme with Wall to Wall Cabaret on Saturday, May 3. The lineup of nearly 50 performers was a veritable roll call of cabaret icons and rising stars, including Kate Baldwin,Klea Blackhurst, Barbara Carroll, Bill Charlap + Sandy Stewart, Barbara Cook, Judy Gold, Julie Halston, Ute Lemper, Lypsinka, Taylor Mac, Andrea Marcovicci, Marilyn Maye,Andrea McArdle, Jane Monheit, Steve Ross, Billy Stritch, and many more. James Naughton served as the evening's Master of Ceremonies. The distinguished house band for the evening was Russ Kassoff on piano, John Arbo on bass, and John Redsecker on drums.

Symphony Space's annual Spring Festival has become one of the season's most keenly awaited events. This year's installment, Sleeping Around: The Cultural Lives of New York's Hotels, may be the most provocative yet. Running from April 26 to May 21, the monthlong festival celebrates New York's landmark hotels, their occupants, and the lengendary boites that nurtured and sustained the evergreen songs and performers of cabaret. Sleeping Around also credits New York's hotels as incubators for film, classical music, and literature, with programs devoted to Andy Warhol, Virgil Thomson, and Dorothy Parker.

The generosity of theatre fans during six weeks of fundraising by 57 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies helped push the 28th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition to another record high, raising $4,532,129 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. DISASTER!, the 1970s disaster movie musical comedy, will play its final performance Off-Broadway tonight, April 11th, after a smash six-month run at the St. Luke's Theatre (308 W. 46th Street). Disaster! began previews on October 14th, 2013 and opened to critical acclaim on November 4th, 2013. The musical, which performs in repertory with other productions at the St. Luke's Theatre, will have played 11 previews and 86 performances at the time of its closing.

Ralph Macchio and Mario Cantone will headline the cast of a special industry reading of A Room of My Own, the anticipated new comedy written and directed by Charles Messina. Mr. Macchio and Mr. Cantone will be joined by a cast that includes Colin Critchley, Gina Ferranti, Kendra Jain, and Johnny Tammaro. Second Stage Theatre has announced the addition of ALICE RIPLEY, GINA GERSHON, HENRY ALFORD, ILANA LEVINE, and SANDRA SANTIAGO to the line-up for Annabelle Gurwitch's I See You Made An Effort on March 10th, 2014. This one-night only benefit event is a part of the 35th Anniversary Season at Second Stage Theatre. I See You Made An Effort will also feature the previously announced AMY BRENNEMAN, JUDY GOLD, JESSICA HECHT, TONYA PINKINS, and ANNABELLA SCIORRA.
