NBC is partnering with the acclaimed 'Smash' producing team of Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (film versions of 'Chicago' and 'Hairspray') to present a live broadcast of 'The Sound of Music,' based on the original Broadway musical, it was announced today by Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment. 'Judy and Liza Together Again', starring internationally acclaimed entertainers Rick Skye and Tommy Femia, nominated as 'BEST DUO' this year by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC), has been extended again at Don't Tell Mama's (343 West 46th Street). Teaming up for an evening of 'Just POW!', these MAC and Bistro Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/daughter team in show biz history. The gaiety continues bi-monthly with performances on: March 10th, March 24th, April 14th, April 28th, May 12th, 26th, June 23rd and June 30th at 8:30pm. (more...)

The Ringwald Theatre is proud to announce the 3rd installment of its wildly popular Gay Play Series (GPS). Last year's outing was attended by hundreds of people over a ten day festival period. This year the program will run over two consecutive weekends that will feature a one-time only event, music shows and, at the centerpiece, performances of 11 new, one act LGBT plays. (more...)

Two-time Tony Award nominee André De Shields, who created the title role in the hit Broadway musical THE WIZ, has just returned from Chittenango, New York where he was a Special Guest of Honor at the 34th Annual OZ-Stravaganza weekend. This village, just outside Syracuse, New York, is the birthplace of L.
