Taking place in the breathtaking and newly restored Palace Theatre in Saint Paul, Thursday Saturday, April 19 21, 2018, this evening-length commission features new music from Vernon as well as new choreography from TU Dance's incredible polyrhythmic genius (Star Tribune) Uri Sands.

The Houston Symphony and Music Director Andr s Orozco-Estrada announced today details of the 2018-19 season, which marks Orozco-Estrada's fifth year as music director. Highlights of the season include conducting appearances by world-class violinists Joshua Bell and Itzhak Perlman; the world premiere of Aurora, a violin concerto by Houston Symphony Composer-in-Residence Jimmy L pez; and a semi-staged opera performance of Bart k's Bluebeard's Castle.

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents Mozart in the Jungle: Inside the Music on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 3pm and 7:30pm. Audiences are invited inside the world of Mozart in the Jungle, the Golden Globe Award-winning television series set in the orbit of the fictional New York Symphony. The Amazon Original Series has featured performances by artists including Joshua Bell and Pl cido Domingo, who sang on a raft in a Venetian canal with fictional opera diva 'La Fiamma' (played by Monica Bellucci), and cameos by composers Nico Muhly and Caroline Shaw. At Works & Process, Shaw joins executive producer/series creator Paul Weitz, showrunner Will Graham and creative consultant Elena Park in a conversation that takes the audience inside the music. The program will feature performances of music originally created for the television series, including selections by Shaw and Muhly's Amy Fisher Aria, performed by Metropolitan Opera soprano Susanna Phillips. World-renowned violinist Joshua Bell and MacArthur 'Genius' winning pianist Jeremy Denk return to Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on Wednesday, February 7 at 8:00 p.m. for Carnegie Hall's annual Isaac Stern Memorial Concert, playing music by Mozart, Schubert, Jan cek, and Richard Strauss. Longtime collaborators, the duo last performed together in recital in 2010, which The New York Times described as a passionate performance.

The closing concert of Orchestra of St. Luke's 2017-2018 Carnegie Hall Series will take place on Thursday, February 15 at 8 PM at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Robert Spano leads the Ensemble in a program highlighted by two works considered signal achievements of their respective forms: Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in G minor and Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, 'Emperor,' with guest artist Jeremy Denk. The world premiere of Bryce Dessner's Voy a dormir features mezzo-soprano Kelley O'Connor making her Orchestra of St. Luke's debut, in a work Dessner created for her.

Orchestra of St. Luke's opens its 2018 Chamber Music Season with the first of two Baroque Music programs: Vivaldi: Church & Stage, in two concerts: January 28 at Brooklyn Museum, and January 29, at The Church of St. Luke in the Fields. Vivaldi's sacred and secular music is the focus of this lyrical showcase featuring the psalm setting Nisi Dominus, instrumental works, and arias from his rarely performed operas sung by rising American mezzo-soprano Avery Amereau, making her OSL debut.

The Santa Barbara Symphony, under the baton of guest conductor Carolyn Kuan, will perform John Corigliano's Academy Award-winning score for The Red Violin, accompanied by Fran ois Girard's engrossing film in its entirety, at the Granada Theatre on Saturday, January 20, and Sunday, January 21. Featuring Canadian violinist Lara St. John as soloist, the concerts will take place at 8 pm on January 20 and at 3 pm on January 21. Presumed to be a first: Jason Robert Brown and Kelli O'Hara performing together in concert. Undoubtedly a first in Utah: two Tony winners performing together in concert. Definitely: a Tony-deserving concert. In a major coup, the BYU Bravo! performing arts series assembled the vanguard composer and the luminous muse for his last Broadway musical -- for what appears to have been their first performance together in concert. And they decisively demonstrated how divinely delightful a concert can be.

On Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 8pm, American Classical Orchestra, the nation's premier orchestra dedicated to period instrument performance' (Vulture), celebrates the virtuosic violin concerti of great Baroque masters at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. The program features acclaimed violinist and expert period instrumentalist, Stephanie Chase, in six concerti: Handel's Concerto Grosso in B-flat Major, Opus 6, No. 7; J.S. Bach's Concerto for Violin in A Minor, BWV 1041; Muffat's Concerto Grosso in G Major, 'Perseverantia'; Bach's Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor, BWV 1043 with Orchestra of St. Luke's concertmaster violinist Krista Bennion Feeney; Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G Major, BWV 1048; and Vivaldi's Concerto for Four Violins in B Minor, RV 580 with violinists Krista Bennion Feeney, Theresa Salomon, and Karen Dekker.

Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) 43rd season continues in 2018 with 43 performances in 10 venues throughout New York City. The winter spring calendar offers wide-ranging programs from intimate chamber music concerts devoted to Baroque, Classical, and Romantic repertoire to a world premiere at Carnegie Hall by one of today's most lauded composers.
