Highly physical, beautifully danced and sexy as all hell, Sir Matthew Bourne’s acclaimed ballet The Car Man made its debut in 2000 and now returns to London with an imaginative new staging at the Royal Albert Hall.

Matthew Bourne, on behalf of New Adventures, Northern Ballet and Sadler's Wells today announces the full programme for "MR WONDERFUL", A Celebration of Jonathan Ollivier's Life in Dance.

New Adventures and Re:Bourne present an evening of dance to celebrate the life of Jonathan Ollivier, who died tragically earlier this year before the final performance of The Car Man at Sadler's Wells. MR WONDERFUL - A CELEBRATION OF JONATHAN OLLIVIER'S LIFE IN DANCE is on MONDAY 18 JANUARY 2016 at 7.30PM at Sadler's Wells.

Following yesterday's tragic incident and as messages come in from around the world, Matthew Bourne, Artistic Director of New Adventures issues the following tribute on behalf of the company: "Yesterday we lost our "Swan' and our 'Car Man" - Jonathan Ollivier was one of the most charismatic and powerful dancers of his generation: An intensely masculine presence tempered with tenderness and vulnerability made him the perfect casting for a string of triumphant roles in the New Adventures repertory including 'The Swan", the enigmatic "Speight" in "Play Without Words" and his final role as Luca in "The Car Man" which he was due to dance at last nights final performance at Sadler's Wells.

The Northampton dance community suffered the loss of dancer Jonathan Ollivier, currently starring in Matthew Bourne's THE CAR MAN. Ollivier, 38, was killed when his motorcycle and a Mercedes collided on Sunday morning, 9 August, and pronounced dead under an hour after the accident. The driver of the other vehicle was arrested for dangerous driving.

The revival of THE CAR MAN at Sadler's Wells from Tuesday 14 July to Sunday 9 August 2015 marks the first time the production has been staged in eight years.

New Adventures are delighted to announce the principal cast schedule for the internationally acclaimed and multi-award winning dance thriller 'THE CAR MAN' for the final two weeks of its limited summer season at Sadler's Wells. 'THE CAR MAN' will run at Sadler's Wells from Tuesday 14 July to Sunday 9 August 2015. Matthew Bourne's THE CAR MAN begins its limited 16 week tour this evening at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley before visiting Wimbledon, Newcastle, High Wycombe, Bristol, Salford, Canterbury, Edinburgh, Leicester, Sheffield and ending with a four week summer season at Sadler's Wells from 14 July to 9 August. New Adventures are delighted to announce that international ballet superstar, Marcelo Gomes will guest star as 'Luca', the title role in the internationally acclaimed and multi-award winning dance thriller "THE CAR MAN" during the four week summer season at Sadler's Wells from 14 July to 9 August 2015. He will alternate the role with the previously announced Jonathan Ollivier and Chris Trenfield; all three dancers worked together last year, sharing the role of 'The Swan' when Marcelo Gomes made his debut with New Adventures in the Tokyo Season of Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake.
