Warner Bros. Records is pleased to announce that it has signed vocalist and award-winning actress Emmy Rossum to its roster. The New York City native will release her first album for the label, a collection of covers of classic songs that span the '20s to the '60s entitled SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY, on January 29th, 2013.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the eighth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Sam Willmott. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by David Hyde Pierce tonight, November 26th from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lobby of The American Airlines Theater.

Vital Theatre Company's newest smash hit Fancy Nancy The Musical, is moving downtown to Culture Project. Michael Riedel reports in today's The New York Post that producer Anne Hamburger, founder of Off-Broadway's En Garde Arts, has acquired the rights and hired Alfred Uhry to turn John Berendt's 1994 best selling book MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL into a Broadway musical. Said to be nearly done with the first draft, the show will feature musical numbers from the catalog of Johnny Mercer.

New York City Center celebrated the 20th Anniversary of its Tony Award-winning Encores! series on November 12 with a Gala Benefit starring Raul Esparza and Kelli O'Hara, and featuring performers who have starred in Encores!productions over the past two decades.
