The Great Game: Afghanistan - a festival exploring Afghan culture and history through twelve plays, a five day film programme, a ceramic exhibition and discussion sessions returns to the Tricycle Theatre for a limited run from 23 July until 29 August 2010 with a press day on 31 July.

Starz to Air New Series 'Camelot' in 2011

Starz continues to bring unique event programming to audiences in the U.S., securing rights to 'Camelot,' a wholly original approach to the timeless Arthurian legend, from the creative team behind such landmark series as 'The Tudors,' 'Life on Mars' and 'Torchwood,' as well as critically acclaimed film The Departed and upcoming The Tourist. Originated by Academy Award(R) nominated Ecosse Films (Mrs. Brown, Becoming Jane Nowhere Boy,)Starz plans to air the 10-episode series in the first half of 2011.
Hollywood Arts Council Raises $75,000 At 24th Annual Charlie Awards

The Hollywood Arts Council presented their 24th Annual Charlie Awards in the historic newly refurbished Blossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, home of the first Academy Awards ceremony, at a Sold Out luncheon on Friday, March 19, 2010. Nyla Arslanian, President of the Hollywood Arts Council said: 'We raised $75,000 at the event which will benefit the Council's arts programs for underserved children in the community. This is a challenging year economically, but our kids' art programs must continue; Hollywood's at-risk children can't wait for times to get better. We are very grateful to our 250 event attendees and sponsors for their generous support.'

The New York Philharmonic will present SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert on March 15 and Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. This celebration of the 80th birthday of the great Broadway and film composer/lyricist will include his most enduring orchestral music and songs - performed, in some cases, by the stars of the original Broadway cast productions - in addition to rarely-heard material. Joining the celebration will be (in alphabetical order) Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, and others to be announced, including surprise guests. Paul Gemignani, Mr. Sondheim's longtime collaborator, will conduct the New York Philharmonic; Lonny Price is the director; and Mr. Price and Matt Cowart are the producers.

The Glasgow Citizens Theatre will present a stage adaptation of the 1994 British feature film 'Backbeat,' a chronicle of the Beatle's largely unfamiliar 'Hamburg Years.' Performances Feb. 9, 2010, prior to an official opening Feb. 12, for a run through March 6, 2010.

Due to popular demand, Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre has extended it's ticket sales for director Tim Burton's 3D fantasy adventure ALICE IN WONDERLAND, presented in Disney Digital 3D™ from Disney, through April 20. ALICE IN WONDERLAND opened at the El Capitan Theatre on March 5.

Friday 26th February at 10:35pm, Andrew Lloyd Webber was a guest on Jonathan Ross's BBC1 TV show, 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.'
Webber - along with fellow guests Johnny Depp, director Tim Burton and singer Sade - joined Jonathan on the famous sofa to chat about LOVE NEVER DIES, his current production which is in preview at London's Adelphi Theatre. Sierra Boggess, who plays the role of Christine in the show, performed the title song from the production, 'LOVE NEVER DIES.'
