Ten students from Main Street Theater's Education Department dive into the Kingdom of Wisdom in The Phantom Tollbooth, by Susan Nanus, from the classic book by Norton Juster. There are 3 public performances: Friday and Saturday, February 21 and 22, at 7:30pm, and Sunday, February 23 at 3:30pm. THE LAST CONFESSION, Starring David Suchet, to Tour Australia in 2014

Internationally acclaimed British actor David Suchet will reprise his role on stage in the conspiracy thriller, 'THE LAST CONFESSION', in Australia in 2014. The international production will play in Toronto and Los Angeles before arriving in Australia in August. Seasons in Perth and Brisbane were announced late last year and now dates have been confirmed for seasons at Adelaide's Her Majesty's Theatre from August 27 and Melbourne's Comedy Theatre from September 3. Tickets on sale from Friday February 7.

To celebrate the imminent Opening of a truly Sydney musical, Strictly Ballroom The Musical (previewing from 25 March), Baz Luhrmann has collaborated with Global Creatures and Destination NSW to create STRICTLY SYDNEY, the largest outdoor ballroom dancing event ever seen in Australia. This spectacular community event with 4,000 ballroom dancers will be held around the Sydney Opera House on Sunday 23 February from 9am.

It may be an adage whose origin is lost to the annals of time, but the saying remains true-if you want to get to Carnegie Hall, you need to practice, practice, practice! But you also need to pay for instrument transportation, orchestra transportation, hotel rooms, soloists, etc., etc., etc.! The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is heading to Carnegie Hall for the Spring for Music Festival on May 10, 2014 and, along with practice, it can only get there with a little help from friends through a 47-day Kickstarter campaign.
