Maltz Jupiter's GREATEST NIGHT ON EARTH Raises $375,000

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre's 'Greatest Night on Earth' Gala, held on January 15th at Admiral's Cove Country Club, raised $375,000 to benefit the not-for-profit theatre. The Theatre's hit production, Barnum, inspired the theme for the evening. An over-the-top circus atmosphere with clowns, jugglers and stilt walkers greeted guests. The ballroom at Admirals Cove was transformed; a billowing tent incased tables wrapped in neon pinks, greens and blues topped with oversized centerpieces of popcorn, cotton candy and lions jumping through rings of fire.

'Lilli Marlene' a new musical featuring the hits of the WWII era starring Linn Maxwell, opened on Monday, September 22nd at the Abington Theater (312 West 36th Street). Directed by Erv Raible, with a book by Kathryn Ryan, the show features such songs as 'As Time Goes By', 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square', 'It Had To Be You', 'The White Cliffs of Dover', 'Mad About the Boy' and 'Lilli Marlene', which was made famous by legendary Marlene Dietrich. Paul Trueblood is the musical director.
