Opened in September 2006 in Manhattan's booming Meatpacking District, Comix has quickly defined itself as the premier comedy club in New York City. Comix is Zagat's highest rated comedy venue, and was dubbed 'one of the top six clubs in the country' by the Hollywood Reporter. Comix was also named the top headliner club in New York City by both GrandLife and Digital City.

'The Daily Show & Friends' is this year's presentation of 'COMEDY CENTRAL Park' which will take place on Wednesday, July 21 at 8:00 p.m. The event will be hosted by Lewis Black and feature stand-up performances by 'Daily Show' correspondents Wyatt Cenac and John Oliver, series alum Rob Riggle, executive producer Rory Albanese and supervising producer Adam Lowitt.

Coal Creek Community Theater of Louisville, CO presents Voice of the Prairie, written by John Olive and directed by Linda Orr. The play, spanning three decades, from 1895, through the early days of radio in 1923, centers on the adventures of Davey Quinn and Frankie, the Blind Girl, as re-told some 30 years later by the now middle-aged David Quinn. Quinn becomes famous sending his stories into the 'Ethernet' through the infant industry of radio as 'The Voice of the Prairie.' Frankie hears Davey?s stories and reenters his life as the FCC threatens them all for broadcasting without a license.

Based upon the book by Louis Sachar, Sideways Stories from Wayside School was adapted by the stage by John Olive and is directed by Mark Adams. The show will be performed at the Main Street Theater (Chelsea Market) on Sautrdays April 18 &25 and May 2 & 16 at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The show is recommended for Kindergarten-aged kids and up.
