The LAKEWOOD PLAYHOUSE, re-opened to public performances, opens its 83rd Season main stage with the third installment of Neil Simon's semi-autobiographical trilogy, Broadway Bound. Lakewood Playhouse previously produced the first two installments, Brighton Beach Memoirs in its 80th season, and Biloxi Blues in season 81.

The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong, New Jersey is proud to present the finale Studio Series Presentation of the 37th season, SIDEWAYS STORIES FROM WAYSIDE SCHOOL from June 6th through the 9th with performances at 7:30 PM on Thursday and Friday, and matinees at 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

On Tuesday, the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) held its inaugural fundraising event 'IRAP Tonight' hosted by John Oliver, with standup from both Oliver and Wyatt Cenac. During the event, IRAP presented both Masooma Hussaini and Sourya Saleh, First Female Afghan Pilots & Former IRAP Clients, with the Portrait of Courage Award and Carl Reisner, Partner, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, with the Visionary Award.

Main Street Theater (MST) presents the silly, imaginative, wonderful world of Sideways Stories from Wayside School based on the beloved books by Louis Sachar, adapted for the stage by John Olive.

The 2017-18 Ruth Easton New Play Series at the Playwrights' Center closes April 9 and 10 with Core Writer Harrison David Rivers' new play 'the bandaged place.' The readings begin at 7 p.m. at the Playwrights' Center, located at 2301 E. Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis. They are free, but reservations are recommended and can be made at pwcenter.org.
