New York's Broadway and London's West End have long been the biggest destinations for live theater, and now, a new exhibition opening at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts honors the rich creative talent and award-winning productions in both cities. Co-curated by The Library for the Performing Arts and the V&A, where the exhibition debuted earlier this year, in partnership with the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), Curtain Up: Celebrating the Last 40 Years of Theatre in New York and London highlights how the theatre districts of both cities have flourished and developed since 1976. The exhibition, which opens at The Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center onOctober 31, 2016  and is on display through June 30, 2017.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) just announced full casting for the first two shows of the 2016/17 season, NAT TURNER IN JERUSALEM and OTHELLO.

Gettysburg Community Theatre, the non-profit 501c3 organization located in the original Elks Lodge building at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in historic downtown Gettysburg, will present 1776 the musical, to celebrate the 240th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration Of Independence. Performances will be held at GCT Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm July 15-31, 2016. GCT only seats 80. Limited Reserved Seating Tickets are $18 plus tax/fees of the Gettysburg Borough Amusement Tax. A Lasting Impression Productions LLC is pleased to announce the readings of the new musical A Lasting Impression at New York Musical Festival will star Tony nominee JENNIFER DAMIANO (Next to Normal, American Psycho, Spring Awakening) as Kali, CIARA RENEE (Big Fish, Pippin) as Jo, and MEGHANN FAHY (Next to Normal) as Simone.  Film and television star Jake Lacy has joined the ensemble cast of the new SHOWTIME one-hour comedy series I'M DYING UP HERE in a series regular role. Lacy will play a stand-up comic who gained some notoriety a few years back by blowing off The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on the night he was scheduled to appear.
