Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators for all media covering New York theatre announced today its award winners for the 2009-10 season in 23 categories.

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts and Hedgebrook present THE WOMEN PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL at WICA, 565 Camano Avenue, on Sunday, May 16 at 4.00pm.

'TalkOut Mondays' (after the performance) continues for May 17th with the award-winning cast of the critically acclaimed hit show 'The Temperamentals' by Jon Marans at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

The Huntington Theatre Company's 29th Season will include two world premieres directed by Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois, an American classic, two Shakespeare plays in repertory, a three-play festival from a breakout writer, and the 2009 winner of the Pulitzer Prize.

Michael Urie (from TV's 'Ugly Betty') is Rudi Gernreich. Arnie Burton (an original cast member of Broadway's '39 Steps') joined the cast in multiple roles. Rounding out the cast of five multiple talented actors are Matthew Schneck, and Sam Breslin Wright. It is directed by Jonathan Silverstein. The Set & Costume design is by Clint Ramos, lighting by Josh Bradford and Daniel Kluger is the sound designer.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today that seven plays will be developed at the 2010 National Playwrights Conference under the leadership of artistic director Wendy C. Goldberg. The selected playwrights will spend the month of July at the O'Neill's Waterford, Connecticut campus developing and presenting staged readings of their work during the NPC's 46th season. Box office and online ticket sales open Wednesday, June 9; advance ticket sales will be available to O'Neill Members beginning Monday, May 17.

Long Wharf Theatre will close the curtain on No Child..., written and performed by Nilaja Sun, directed by Hal Brooks, April 18, 2010 on Stage II.

PSYCHO BEACH PARTY is the story of Chicklet Forrest, a teenage tomboy, who desperately wants to be part of the surf scene on Malibu Beach in 1962. One thing getting in her way is her unfortunate tendency towards split personalities.
