The writers of 59th Annual Tony Awards, Dave Boone and John Macks, were honored today with a Writers Guild of America nomination in the Comedy/Variety - Music, Awards, Tributes, Specials category.

The 2006 Tony Awards, which will mark the awards' 60th year, will be held at Radio City Music Hall and broadcast on CBS on June 11th of next year

Producers of the 59th Annual American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards announced today that their official website, www.TonyAwards.com, will offer exclusive access via live (streamed) video to the first 9 awards from the stage of Radio City Music Hall.

Aretha Franklin, Jesse L. Martin and Bernadette Peters will perform on the 2005 Tony Awards, while numbers from Sweeet Charity, Spamalot, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and other nominated shows will also be presented
