Alan Cumming Accepts Award on Kristin Chenoweth's Behalf at Goodspeed Musicals Gala Tonight, 8/11

At this time, Goodspeed Musicals regrets to inform you that, due to her recent injuries on the set of "The Good Wife," Kristin Chenoweth will not be able to attend their gala, as she is at home recuperating. However, the show will go on as planned, with Broadway, film, and television star Alan Cumming accepting the award in her absence and a Special Tribute Performance by Tony- and Grammy-nominated composer Andrew Lippa. They will be joined by Goodspeed alums Kirsten Wyatt (Gooch in Goodspeed's Mame) and Khris Lewin (Goodspeed's My One and Only.)

Bucks County Playhouse Announces Youth 'Saturday Arts Program', Sept-Nov 2012

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has launched The Saturday Arts Program (SAP), a training ground for passionate young performers. Classes will take place weekly from September 22nd - November 17th at the Bucks County Playhouse, New Hope Solebury High School, and the Solebury School.

WICKED, the smash hit musical that tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, is pleased to announce that Ben Freeman (Fiyero), Louise Plowright (Madame Morrible), Sam Lupton (Boq), Hayley Gallivan (Standby Elphaba) and Lucy van Gasse (Standby Glinda) will all join the London cast from Monday 29 October 2012, together with Katie Rowley Jones who will return to star as Nessarose, the role she originated in 2006.

Glen Alen simultaneously performed as WICKED characters Elphaba and Glinda at July 30th's SHOWGIRLS. Alen performed a medley of songs from WICKED at the weekly Monday night 'Drag-stravaganza' at Mickey's in West Hollywood. Check out the video below!

Manhattan Theatre Club has just announced Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht (Harvey, A View From The Bridge, Brighton Beach Memoirs) and Tony and Emmy Award winner Judith Light (Other Desert Cities, Lombardi, "Ugly Betty") will star on Broadway in the world premiere of THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES, a new play by Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, The American Plan, Three Days of Rain) directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow (Wit, Collected Stories, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife).

Wicked, the smash hit West End musical, has announced that Louise Dearman, who played 'Glinda' to from March 2010 to December 2011, will return to star as 'Elphaba' from Monday 29 October 2012. It is the first time that a leading lady will have starred in both roles in the nearly decade-long history of the global musical phenomenon.

Richard Blake, who is currently playing the role of Fiyero, will play his final performance on Sunday, July 29.
