Variations Theatre Group is currently presenting Eric Bogosian's Pulitzer Prize-nominated play TALK RADIO. Opening Night is tomorrow, September 16th at the Chain Theatre. Inspired by the 1984 murder of controversial shock jock Alan Berg, TALK RADIO is set in a Cleveland radio station over the course of Barry Champlain's two-hour broadcast as he's being scrutinized that night by producers fixated on taking the show national, and fueled as always by coffee, cocaine and Jack Daniel's. Barry's jousts with his unseen callers-ranging from a white supremacist to a woman obsessed with her garbage disposal-are interspersed with confrontations by his ex-deejay pal and his sometime girlfriend/producer. Elisabeth Moss to Return to Broadway in Revival of THE HEIDI CHRONICLES?

According to the New York Times, Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss is on her way back to Broadway. Producer Jeffrey Richards is currently in talks with the actress to play the title character in an upcoming Broadway revival of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Richards is reportedly eying Tony winner Pam McKinnon to direct the project, which is aiming to open in ' late winter or spring 2015.' An official announcement has not yet been made. (more...)
