Acclaimed writer/directors Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck's new film It's Kind of a Funny Story begins production in New York City this week. Focus Features holds worldwide rights to the project, which it is co-financing with Wayfare Entertainment.

Jim Gaffigan is returning to Easton for one night only. He will be appearing at the State Theatre Center for the Arts on Saturday, February 20th for two performances at 7:00pm and 9:30pm.

Actor and stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan headlines Homecoming Week at the University of Utah with two performances at Kingsbury Hall. Gaffigan is best known for his hilarious food-related routines, especially Hot Pockets and bacon.

As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.

The nominees for the 23rd Annual MAC Awards have been announced, honoring excellence in New York City cabaret, comedy and jazz.

COMEDY CENTRAL Records releases songs from 'A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!' as a digital album exclusively on iTunes on Tuesday, November 25. A portion of the proceeds from the digital album will benefit the charity Feeding America (formerly knows as America's Second Harvest). The digital release features guest artists Elvis Costello, Feist, Toby Keith, John Legend, Willie Nelson and Jon Stewart. The release contains 9 songs featured in the one-hour special, plus the bonus track 'Cold Cold Christmas' that is also included on the DVD of 'A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All.'
